Animal Skandi slippers, the ideal slipper for winter weather and a lovely present. I received mine over four months ago and have loved them. They have been perfect for all this cold weather. I have had mine over the last couple of months and as we have wooden flooring throughout the downstairs of my house we have very cold floors so they are perfect. This boot slipper is not only practical but very stylish looking too so keeping any age happy.
The skandi range is a boot slipper to not only keep those tootsies warm but the lower leg too. It is about 27cm's high, as a small person this does come to just below my knee but I don't find this a problem. They are a slouchy looking boot slipper so they don't stay up this high. Before the cold months begun I did find my feet and legs did become a little too warm and after an hour or two I had to take them off for a while. But since the snow and minus five or more weather came I have never had cold feet or too warm either.
The slipper is lined with a fleece liner so I guess this is why it keeps those legs warm. My other half bought these slippers as a present for me and he chose the brown coloured ones. Although to me they are pink and a dark brown with a nice pink fleece liner. The pattern on the slipper is simple and bold in the pink colour with the background in the dark brown colour. I really love this particular colour and think it looks stylish. But there are other colours to chose from natural grey, heather grey, pink carnation and medieval blue.
These slippers don't come cheap but then they are made by animal (the make for those of you who aren't too sure not the fury things). You can get these slippers from about eighteen pound to twenty five pounds dependant on the colour. So for that money you want a good well made slipper and you certainly get that with these. They also come with the animal label on them, on the sole and on a small badge on the back of the slipper round your heel.
As I have mentioned they are very well made. They are made from knitted upper and they have a hard sole. I find slippers without a hard sole are useless for me and I end up going through them too quickly. The sole is also ribbed making it non slip. I wear mine everyday and as a stay at home mum I do have them on many hours a day that is probably why I go through slippers quickly. These slippers have lasted four months so far and are still going strong. I will say my pair have bobbled a little but I think this is because I do sometimes wear them under my jeans I think they are best to be worn over your trousers.
Overall I couldn't have wished for a better pair of slippers. Not only do they keep my feet so warm but they look great. They would make a great present for someone but I wouldn't recommend use in the summer months this is definitely a winter slipper.
