“ Brand: Asda George / Type: Slippers „
I love slippers and tend to have a few pairs on the go at anyone time. I recently purchased these grey faux fur slippers from Asda for £6. They come in the following sizes, S (small) 3/4 foot, M (medium) 5/6 foot, L (large) 7/8 foot. I have the medium, as size 6 foot. They fit well, are very comfortable and soft, they have a rubber sole and grip well, you slip them onto your feet and they stay put. I have been wearing them for around 4 weeks and they have kept their shape. They have soft fur on the inside that keep my feet very warm, they look good as they are a nice grey colour and they have a nice little bow on each one. I tend to wear socks with my slippers, but after I have a bath or a shower and have bare feet, I find them very cosy and soft on my skin. They are made of 'other materials' and can be machine washed, which I have not done yet, they can also be put in the tumble dryer on a low heat, as they have a rubber sole. Overall these are good value slippers that are soft, comfortable and have so far worn very well. I would recommend them to all you slipper lovers out there.
~*~*~ Asda George Bow Detail Faux Fur Slippers ~*~*~ ~ What are they? ~ These are a lovely pair of slip on type slippers with a cute bow detail on the outer edge of each one, the insides are covered in a white fluffy material that keeps your feet nice and warm. ~ Why I chose them ~ I am a sucker for slippers because I like my feet to be nice and warm and what with having laminate flooring and tiles throughout the downstairs of my home the floors are never particularly very warm, so over the last few months I really have gone a bit slipper mad after my two pairs of slipper booties gave up and split! I have an Asda store with a large George department just up the road from me so I always have a good mooch around and always pick something up on each visit which is sometimes twice a week! A few visits back I bought these slippers simply because they caught my eye. The outside of them is finished in a nice dark grey charcoal colour soft material and is finished off with an attractive triple bowed bow! The insides are covered in a soft white fluffy material that is incredibly comfortable and warm. ~ Sizes, availability and price ~ These slippers are available in sizes - S (small) M (medium) L (large) S is a size 3-4, M is a size 5-6 and L is a size 7-8. I bought them in M as I I take a size 5 and have found that these offer a very good fit, they are neither too big nor too small, I also know that my mum also has the same pair and bought the same size but she takes a size 6 and they also fit her very well too. They are available from Asda stores with a George department or online at www.direct.asda.com. They cost a very decent £6 which I think is a bargain price for these as they look really nice. ~ Overall ~ I really like these slippers, they just slip on and off which is useful for when I want to sit with my feet up on the sofa and then need to run out to the kitchen to let the dog out! The outside look really trendy and are versatile, I certainly don't feel the need to hide my feet when I have to answer the door! As the colder nights have been drawing in these have certainly kept my feet nice and warm due to the soft fluffy insides. The size is perfect for me, they are not too wide and I find they nicely fit around my feet keeping them toasty. The soles don't have much of a grip but there is enough to stop my sliding across the laminate floor, they are thin though and not rubbery so I wouldn't recommend running the rubbish out to the wheelie bin in them on a wet day! I have popped them in the washing machine on a 30° cycle and have also popped them in the dryer and they haven't suffered any ill effects at all, in fact they came out looking like brand new. I wouldn't recommend over washing them though as the fluffiness of the insides may suffer eventually. I only washed them after I stood in puppy wee after not noticing Mookie had had an accident on the kitchen floor! The fluff does flatten with wear at the soles of the slippers but around the feet it stays nice and fluffed up to keep my feet warm. Overall I am very happy and impressed with these, I also know my mum is quite taken with hers too. Thanks for reading :o) x
With me I like walking about bare foot which has led to me getting many stubbed toes, treading on objects I wish I hadn't of and getting cold and dirty feet all to often for my liking. I live in a flat that is laminated through out it and that means that my feet freeze alot so when I was in Asda I actually picked up a few cheapish pairs of slippers in a couple of different designs and these were a pair of those that I chose of course and thats why I'm writing a review on them lol. The reason I bought these particular slippers was because not only did they feel nice to the touch but also they looked rather nice and seemed an excellent price to me! So these come in sizes Small, Medium and Large and so I didn't know which size I needed till I tried them on my feet in store to be honest and I am a size 5 and found that the medium fitted me with a bit of room to spare too so in my opinion the Small are a size 3-4, the Medium a size 5-6 and the Large 7-8 however I do think they really need to be tried on to check first! The slippers are mule style meaning you get complete cover for the toes and they are open backed. Inside the slippers are lined with thick white faux fur and the upper is charcoal colour which is smooth material and each slipper has a well attached pleated bow to them. These slippers are warm apart from the back opening and I do struggle to remember to keep them on my feet as its easy to slip your feet out of them! However when they are on my feet they are nice and roomy and really soft and there is plenty of space to wiggle my toes about and the sole is rubber material giving me quite a bit of grip though not too much! These are machine washable and suitable for tumble drying on a low heat due to the soles being a rubber material and I have done this often with these and had no issues with them at all though the fur inside the slippers does wear down rather alot from washing them however I did expect to lose that initial fluffiness though wear that they initially had to them anyway to be honest. All in all though these are a nice slipper and they look nice on however they are not a great gifting idea due to not being to understand sizing very well so do try them on first! Only available from Asda stores at £6.00 a pair and as far as I am aware the only colour that these are available in is Charcoal at the moment though of course lots of other colours and styles are available in store in lots of styles all in about the same price range!
