“ Brand: Asda / Type: Wellies „
I am a big fan of buying my daughter footwear and keeping it until she grows into them as I often see cheap footwear, but never in her current size! (A curse on me I'm sure!). Ages ago I bought my daughter two pairs of boots, one from Ecco (I found the receipt, bought over 2 years ago now!) and these wellies bought some time earlier this year. With the constant rain we have been having recently, I decided to dig these out and see if they were suited for my little one, and low and behold they fit! Hallelujah! She has currently been living in these the past week and allow her to jump in as many muddy puddles as she likes! I bought these in Asda at the time, around £8 or so and they came in various sizes but are suitable for up to size 12 infant, equivalent to size 30 EU. My daughter is 4 years old and is currently wearing size 10 which fit quite well. I would say they fit quite true to size as my daughter wears this size broadly at the moment across her school shoes and trainers etc so these are easy to buy if the child is not with you. The wellies are a nice little design, they are pink with assorted pictures of hello kitty on them and some stars which are really girly and my daughter loves them. They have a thick black sole which aren't the most defined as there isn't much support inside but they seem comfortable enough for my little one as she hasn't complained yet! The wellies come up quite high to a decent length as they cover over her ankle and a substantial amount of her calf and they keep her nice and dry with the torrential down pour we are having! They are of course made of plastic and do smell and feel a little bit silicone - like so you pretty much get what you expect for the amount you pay. On the whole, these are a decent little buy, ideal for the little ones to wear in the weather and at a cheap price they don't break the bank. Asda always seem to have variations of these wellies on sale in store so I would definitely recommend these wellies and will buy them again. They are perfectly waterproof, comfortable for my daughter and are super cute to look at!
I have been rather lucky when it has come to having wellies for my daughter. I have tended to pick u her size in the sale, and have often picked up a cheap second pair in a charity shop or my sister has often passed on wellies from her little girl. Having two pairs means I can keep one at my daughter's grandparents house where she is looked after during the week when I'm at work and I don't have to remember to bring a pair with me in the morning. One such pair of wellies that my sister gave me were these Hello Kitty wellies from Asda, where they are currently selling a more updated boot for £9. My daughter isn't interested in brands, although does like particular tv characters such as Peppa Pig, but at present 'Hello Kitty' really means nothing to her, and she just recognises little cats on the front. These boots are a pinky/red colour, and are covered in the Hello Kitty brand, making them a cute look for a little girl. They have a dark sole which is probably a good colour given the puddles my daughter loves to jump in. My daughter is currently a size 71/2 and these wellies are a size 7, and she still has plenty of room so they are obviously on the big size and will therefore last her a little longer, but at the same time are a good fit. Very often I have come to pick my daughter up from her grandparents and she has been outside in their garden with these wellies on and they seem to be very comfortable on her and she is in no hurry to take them off - neither do her grandparents have any difficulty getting her to wear them. If I had one complaint it would be the height of these boots. My daughter has two pairs of size 7 wellies, like I implied at the beginning. THe pair that we keep at home are much longer and I find they keep her drier and warmer. These Hello Kitty wellies are a little on the short side in terms of height and certainly my daughters grandparents have had to change socks and tights on occasion when water has got into these boots as when my daughter splashes they aren't tall enough to keep the water from going inside at times. ALl in all, apart from the length of the boot, these wellies are cute, girly and most importantly waterproof. They are ideal as a second pair of wellies, but I would opt for a longer pair every time.
Last year when we came to October time I decided to get organised and get both my girls some wellies ready for winter, my youngest picked these Hello Kitty ones when we were in Asda and at £8 they seemed about the right price. The wellies only go up to size infant 10 which was a shame and we ended up having to get my elder daughter some Hello Kitty wellies from Tesco as she is in a size 12. The wellies are made of rubber of course and they have a lovely chunky sole on them, the main boot is pink in colour and then the sole is dark blue in colour. The main part of the wellies has lots of little stars and pictures of Hello Kittys head dotted around them, hello Kittys head is also on the front of the boot so it sits looking outwards from the boot and is slightly raised from the welly The wellies come about half way up the bottom of the leg which I would say is a dcecent level for a welly as any lower and then you end up with water in them when your little one decides to jump in puddles which mine quite often does. The wellies are really hardwearing and even after all the snow and rain we have had my daughter wellies would easily do for another year not that they will fit her in a years time but quality wise they would easy be good enough. The wellies are very easy to clean which is great as they have been covered in plenty of mud and grime this winter. The boots are obviously comfortable to wear a Emily would coe back in with these most days when I told her to go and get some shoes and now we are coming into warmer weather I have hidden them in the cupboard to stop her insisting on wearing them. Emily picked these wellies hersefl so she clearly liked the look of them, she does tend to go for pink things so this is probably what attracted her and when she pointing them out she sat miaowing from the trolley so i knew it was these she was after. The wellies have been brilliant at keeping her feet dry although on some of the coldest days I often found her feet felt cold after taking these off. I would recommend these wellies and i'm sure Emily would too, they are a decent price, hardwearing and comfortable and of course most important at all have plenty of grip for in the ice and snow and are waterproof.
With the recent snow, my two year old daughter has been shouting 'welly boots!' and taking delight in wearing her beloved rubber boots. Yesterday she fell asleep cuddling one. Today she's been pushing one around in her little toy pram. Why? Because they're Hello Kitty, that's why! She *loves* Hello Kitty (and indeed anything cat related) so when I saw the Asda George Hello Kitty Wellies in store, we bought them without question as she needed a pair and we knew she'd love them. We got them in September so we've had them near five months now. The wellies are, of course, pink, with a purple and soft pink star decoration and Hello Kitty's head dotted around. There is a rubber kitty head on the upper of each boot, too. The sole is black and quite sturdy and there is a good amount of grip on the bottom. My daughter at 2 is quite tall and the boots come to about 2 in under her knee so they're a good height and ideal for one of her favourite pastimes - puddle splashing! The fit is great, too. My girl has F width feet which is the standard width I believe, and these boots fit her well - a little loose, but we always use welly boot socks (thick slipper sock types) to keep the cold at bay, so they are nice and snug and certainly don't come off or anything. We've used them in rain and snow and they are 100% waterproof and the grip on the bottom works on fresh snow and hard ice, no falls (well, the usual 2 year old tumbles but nothing to do with her choice of footwear, she's just a bit clumsy!) I think for the price the Asda George Hello Kitty Wellies are excellent value for money - we paid £8 in store, and you'd pay a post and packing charge on top of that to order from Asda online, though you can collect in store for free, even in smaller Asda Supermarkets which don't sell clothes, which is really handy. Overall, I'm really glad I bought the Asda George Hello Kitty Wellies as they've been well used and much needed. I wouldn't send her to nursery in them as I prefer a width fitted trainer for indoor / a bit of outdoor play, but for walks in the snow with mummy and daddy, and puddle jumping, they're ideal (they're great for muddy runs to the park, too!) They've saved her trainers from being ruined and kept her warm and dry which is the most important thing. For the money, too, you can't go wrong, especially as she's probably only likely to use them for six months or so. Even so, I'd certainly buy these in a larger size next year if needed. A solid five stars out of five from me - lovely wellies at a great price, which my daughter loves so much she cuddles! You can't get a better user review than that :)
Being a working mum, I always like to ensure we make the most of the weekends and spend them doing family activities, regardless of the weather. This means, we all need to have suitable footwear. Last year, Lauren was starting to outgrow her Wellington boots so when I spotted these whilst shopping, I picked them up. The boots cost me around £8 and were from George in Asda, they were available in infant sizes up size 11 and in a standard width. Lauren has F width (I believe F & G are the most common width in children size), and I found that the wellies were a little wide, but to be honest, I find this with most wellies (even adults). Although the boots were a little wide, Lauren would normally wear them with a couple of pairs of socks (to keep her feet warm) so we never experienced any problems with them slipping off or being uncomfortable. My daughter has really skinny legs, and the calf fitting is quite wide (which makes her legs look even thinner!), these boots come about half way up her calf too so they aren't too long and don't restrict her movement in anyway. There are lots of different Hello Kitty boots on the market; these ones were a nice bright pink colour, with different coloured stars and large pictures of Kitty's head dotted around. The sole is really thick and is black in colour; the tread is about half an inch deep. I have found the boots wear quite well, during the wetter/winter months, these were worn at least once almost every weekend at local country parks, in the woods, even in the snow and apart from a little wear on the heal, they still look like new. When they got muddy, I would just rinse over with the hose pipe and then wipe with a damp cloth and they come up like new. The colourings or pictures have not faded or worn over time. Overall, I would recommend these wellies, Lauren loves them and we have had loads of wear out of them over the last year, the only reason we have stopped wearing them is because she has outgrown them, but the next time I am in Asda, I will definitely be looking to see if they have any more in stock. I have asked Lauren how many stars she would give these out of 5 and being a big Hello Kitty fan,she said 5, I would have to agree with her! Thanks for reading.
For some unknown reason my three year old has started an Hello Kitty obsession. I have no idea what Hello Kitty comes from but thought it was targeted to slightly older girls. When letting my daughter pick out a pair of wellington boots in our local Asda, these were the ones she chose. These wellington boots are available to purchase either in store or online from Asda and cost £8. They are available to purchase in sizes infant 4 up to infant 10. My daughter has these in a size 7. The wellies are quite nice to look at being mainly bright pink in colour with stars dotted all over with the Hello Kitty face also randomly scattered around the wellies. The sole is a deep blue colour so it contrasts with the pink, but not in a bad way. On top of the front of the wellies there is a slightly raised Hello Kitty head that is more prominent than the rest. The quality of these wellies is excellent, the soles are quite thick and hardwearing and the main outside of the boots is waterproof and the inside has a light lining to it making them comfortable to wear. My daughter is a size 7 in most shoes and boots at the moment, the width of her foot is an F so is quite average in size. These wellington boots fit her without any problems or restrictions so I would say the sizing of the wellies is true to what they are meant to be. The top of the wellies reach about an inch under my daughters knees so she can still bend her knees without them getting in the way but at the same time give her clothes protection from muddy puddles! The pink colour of the boots make them quite versatile with my daughters wardrobe as most of her clothing items feature some kind of pink. They look great on her with a pair of tights and denim shorts or skirt. If my daughter is wearing a pair of jeans she can still wear these wellies either with the jeans over the top of them or the bottom of the jeans can fit inside the wellies without causing a restriction. We go on a lot of walks on lots of different terrains, mainly beaches or wood walks and these wellies cope with both sand and mud well. The grip on the soles of these boots is fantastic and my daughter has never slipped wearing these. Of course, they do get quite grubby after muddy walks but can be cleaned very easily with a damp cloth. For the price, these wellington boots are great. They feature the Hello Kitty character quite heavily, are made well and look good and for these reasons I'd definitely recommend them for little Hello Kitty fans, though I doubt girls with the infant 4 shoe size would know who Hello Kitty is!
