Advantages: They're pretty to look at, they're cheap, might be ok if you don't do much walking
Disadvantages: Not very comfortable
I usually wear walking boots for work, because I have a bit of a commute followed by a fair walk when I get off the other end, and if my ankles aren't properly supported they can get a bit weak and sore. As the weather has improved lately, I thought I'd try and get some lighter footwear which was still comfortable, but would let my feet breathe a bit more during the day.
These shoes were £7 from Asda. I tried them on in the store and they seemed very comfortable, almost like slippers. I was a bit concerned that they looked a bit flimsy, and I'm aware that most of these kind of ballerina style slip-ons don't offer much in the way of support, but for £7 I thought they were worth a try.
The shoes look really smart, so for anyone who feels unfeminine wearing flats, or feel they need heels to make them feel sexy, that's not always the case. These have a pretty little bow at the front which makes them simple but cute.
The bottom of the shoes seem to have a decent sole, it doesn't look like it would wear out too quickly. But the issue for me was comfort. I realise that these aren't going to offer the same support as walking boots, but the issue wasn't so much about the support. My ankles felt fine in these shoes, but it was my heels and toes that suffered. My feet felt cramped in them, even though they were the right size, and my heels were in agony by the end of the day. I had huge blisters on my heels, and also on a couple of my toes, and I only wore them for one day before they were banished to the back of the cupboard.
I guess if you were wearing these and hardly doing any walking, for example if you drove to work and then sat at a desk all day, they might not cause you any discomfort, but personally I would advise anyone who needs to walk anywhere during their average day to avoid these like the plague.
Summary: They get two stars, if you don't do a lot of walking they might be ok
