I have to wear flat shoes for work and as you can usually pick them up quite cheaply I do have quite a few pairs in my wardrobe. I bought these bow front ballet pumps from Asos last year and paid just £12. You could also get them in navy and they came in sizes 3 to 8.
I had bought shoes from Asos before and had found them to be very soft and comfortable so I knew they would be a good fit. As soon as I put them on it felt like I was putting my slippers on and I have worn them such a lot and they are still very comfortable and have never rubbed my feet.
The material is synthetic and they have a pretty detailed bow o the top. They are extremely soft to the touch and are very pliable and easy to walk in. The sole is made of rubber and they have a slight heel so they are not completely flat which in my opinion makes them easier to walk in. These shoes fit me quite snugly but have never given me any blisters or rubbed my heels or toes which I usually get from wearing shoes with no socks or pop socks. I think that they do look a good quality shoe and could easily be mistaken for leather.
I have been wearing them now for a couple of months and have started to notice a few light scuff marks around the toes and heels but this isn't really noticeable unless you look closely. They are quite snug on your feet without feeling tight which is a good thing as you never feel as though you are going to lose them or slip off.
I would buy these again for £12 as they are extremely comfortable and have worn very well. They are suitable for any occasion and for all ages and they can be dressed up or dressed down and look very trendy and stylish.
I do love ASOS for shopping and they are my number one destination for dresses but when it comes to shoes I'm a bit scared of buying online. I did find a rather nice pair of beige shoes on ASOS a while ago so when I saw these on the site I thought I'd give them a try.
The great thing about ASOS is that you can have things delivered and returned for free without much hassle. These shoes were £12 so it seemed like a win win situation for me so I ordered them almost as soon as I saw them.
They came in a few different colours (nude, green, pink) but I opted for the black because I felt they would be more versatile, especially as I work quite often and these were still appropriate for work. The pumps have a pretty basic ballet flat design with the curved toe and flat base. The sole is rubber which makes it quite flexible which is great for wearing the shoe in but can sometimes result in achey feet which I did find. They do, however, have a slight raised heel so this does prevent them from becoming too uncomfortable.
The fabric is nice and durable, I haven't found any major marks on it other than you'd expect and it is still totally in tact after months of use. It also has a small bow above the toes which looks very cute and gives a little bit of added interest to a fairly simple design. The look of the shoe is sort of a faux leather which makes them looks a little more expensive than they are - always a bonus! This does make the shoes a little stiff meaning they can sometime rub but I find this only happens when I've been wearing them for a full day.
I bought mine is a size 5 because my feet are between a 4 and a 5 and on balance I'd rather have large shoes than tight ones. They do fit my feet very nicely so I would recommend going for a slightly larger size and this limits rubbing and soreness.
Overall, for £12 I can't really complain too much. It's more than I'd pay for primark pumps and less than I'd pay for New Look and I'd say the quality is better than both.
I love browsing ASOS as they have such a wide range of clothes as well as beauty products and shoes. I don't often buy shoes online as I prefer trying them on first to ensure that they are comfortable and fit properly, but when I saw these I decided to buy them anyway as they looked lovely and at £12.00 I felt that they were cheap enough to take the risk. There are a few different colours to choose from including basics such as nude and black and there are also bright colours available such as pink and green. There are a few different patterns available as well such as checkered, floral and so on, although after a quick glance at their website just now it seems that the floral is no longer available.
I have these in nude, as I think nude is nice and summery as well as versatile and simple. The flats are a light beige which is a nice change from the more generic coloured flats such as black. These are really basic in design, they're simple ballet pumps which have a flat rubber sole and a tiny (and I mean tiny!) raised heel which stops them from being so flat that they're awkward to walk in. The flats have an adorable bow on top of the area where the toes go. This is made of fabric and it is attatched securely to the shoe. I've got a lot of flats with bows on them and find that after a while the bow can come undone and look really tacky, but I've had these shoes for around four months now and it is still firmly attatched. I also find that fabric bows pick up dirt easily and look grubby, but due to the material these can just be wiped with a wet wipe and that usually does the job in cleaning them up.
The shoe itself is made of polyurethane which is quite stiff and it does resemble leather very slightly, but it does have that 'plastic' kind of feel to it, although it's not uncomfortable against my skin. I find that my feet get sweaty quite easily when wearing these out & about as they're made of synthetic material and the soles don't have any padded insoles, but this is not too much of an issue. The stitching around the edges of the shoes is really neat and they look very well made, which for £12.00 I think is good - they don't look flimsy or cheap. The shoes have a rounded toe which I like as it makes my feet look neater and like all flats they expose the top of my feet meaning they are easy to slip on. They're a perfect fit and although they do feel quite clingy around my feet it isn't uncomfortable. I have quite wide feet and these are fine. Sizes available are UK3-8.
These are really comfortable and easy to walk in and the sole is nice and sturdy rather than paper thin. They don't rub against my toes/feet/ankles, either. These are ideal for casual wear and they're very versatile. I've had my pair for 4 months now and they are in quite good condition. They do look a little worn but there are no marks or scuffs.
These ballet pumps by ASOS Collection have been crafted with a textured fabric upper and a plastic sole.
