“ Brand: Asos / Type: Boots „
In my review about ASOS Tulip Lace Up Shoe Boots I mentioned that this style of shoe has become a clear favourite of mine and at the same time I purchased the Tulip Lace Up style I also purchased the Tinky Woven Buckle Shoe Boots as I couldn't make up my mind between the two and considering they would cost me under £90.00 for two pairs of shoes I didn't think this was a bad deal!
What I like about shoe boots is that they keep my feet warm and are quite casual so ideal to wear at any time of the day. They also make a nice change from wearing a pair of court shoes. With colder weather quickly approaching its nice to wear a pair of heels without getting out the traditional boots which sometimes I find a bit restricting on the leg.
Tinky Woven Shoe Boots are made for ASOS so can only be purchased on their website so as long as you don't mind paying for postage and packaging then this is the only way you are going to be able to try them which sometimes can be an issue especially if you have to return them. Tinky come in either black or an olive green colour but I opted for the black as I thought they would go more with my clothes meaning I would get more use out of them.
The main detailing on the shoe boot is the woven detailing which covers the front of the shoe. I've never seen another pair of shoe boots with this woven effect and I really like it. I have a woven leather handbag and my main reason for buying that was the detailing it gave, something a little different. The little silver buckle goes across the front of the shoe and can be adjusted but so far I haven't needed to and for me the buckle just adds a bit more detail.
The shoe boots are made from PU which is understandable as I think they are too cheap to be made from leather! Only thing I don't really like about PU is that it doesn't soften like leather meaning the shoes can stay a bit rigid but for the price you really can't moan as the shoe boots to keep their shape and are quite durable.
The heel on Tinky is 11.5cm which is quite high and it is a slender stiletto heel which does look a bit delicate! The shoe boots have a concealed platform which is around 1.7cm which helps take some of the height off the heel. I found that when walking in these shoe boots the heel didn't seem quite as high and having the platform makes them quite comfortable to walk in. The toe of the shoe boots is a lovely almond shape so it isn't too pointy but it isn't overly round either but still provides plenty of room for your toes.
I have only had these shoe boots for around six months and they have lasted quite well considering I have worn them quite a bit. The heel tip will no doubt need replacing due to general wear but that is just because of the size of the heel. As I mentioned above they are made out of PU which doesn't really supple up and I did find the first few times I wore them they did rub my heel but as I seem to only wear them with either tights or socks rubbing is now never an issue. I won't however be wearing them without tights or socks but this is hardly a big issue. Just would be nice to use a material which can soften up a little more.
Tinky Woven Buckle Shoe Boots are only available at ASOS and come in sizes 3 to 8 and cost a sensible £45.00. I think the price is fits these perfectly as even though they are made to a good standard they are still made of PU and not leather and therefore cannot demand a higher price.
I find these shoe boots a bit more unusual looking due to the woven effect and they are quite comfortable to wear all day without your feet crying out for a bucket of ice. Perfect for everyday type wear at a decent price.
