“ Brand: Babycham „
I recently went on a shoe shopping splurge, to add to my already massive shoe collection and one of the pairs I ended up buying was the Babycham Rainbow Lace shoes. Babycham are a shoe company that make cool, original colourful shoes in all different styles. The rainbow lace shoes are in the style of a plimsoll, and is made from a plimsoll type material as well. The first thing I noticed about these shoes is the fact that they are very colourful and pretty. The main colour of the shoes is pink and there is a rainbow on the side of the shoe. There is also a red deer silhoutte next to the rainbow, and the laces on the shoes are white, except for the bottom lace, which is a pinky/orangey colour. Each of the eyelets for the laces are different colours too, which I think adds a little bit of extra coolness to this pair of shoes. The shoes are really comfortable to wear, and I find that my feet do not get sore or uncomfortable when I am wearing them. They are nice and padded on the inside, so you do not get sore or achey feet, even if you are wearing them for hours on end. I did worry that my feet would get hot and sweaty in the shoes, but they are surprisingly breatheable, and my feet did not get hot, even when worn in the hot weather and walking far. I did not find any sore spots or rubbing from these shoes, so I feel that they fit well and are of good quality. I hate it when new shoes rub on the feet and cause sore spots, luckily this does not seem to happen to me very often. The only problem I have found with these particular shoes is that they can be difficult to co-ordinate with an outfit as they are a bit of a mix of colours. You do need to be careful with what colours you wear it with, but as long as you think before dressing, you should be ok. Babycham Rainbow Laces are available in Schuh stores, and on the Schuh website, but they are a little bit on the expensive side from this company. In Schuh stores they will cost you £35 but I got mine on Amazon, and I only paid £19.99. They come in sizes 3 - 8 and for just under £20 they are a brilliant pair of shoes, with amazing value that I totally recommend. I give these shoes a 5 out of 5 stars.
My husband and i always go to Newcastle every november for a weekend away, this is when we go and do our christmas shopping and Newcastle has the biggest shopping centre i have ever seen called the meto centre. As usual i packed our clothing last minute and wore a pair of 3 inch Knee high boots not thinking i would be walking around all day long doing christmas shopping. After 3 hours of shopping my feet were burning and started to develop a blister on my heel. Hubby suggested popping into the nearest shoe shop and buy a cheap pair of trainers. We went into Schuh, which is one of my fave shoe shops. I spotted the babycham rainbow trainers and they were on sale for £15. They usually cost £30 so i quickly snapped them up. The shoes are made of woven canvass and the main colour is hot pink! The soles and toe cap are made of rubber and are white in colour, they are fairly flexible which makes them very comfortable to wear. They have a unique design on them which is a colourful rainbow with a white cloud and a red dear standing on the cloud. The lace eyelets are multi coloured and make them even more bold and unusual. The tounge is slightly padded to stop them rubbing your feet. They came with two pairs of laces one thin pair and a thicker pair, one pair was white and the other were pink. I only laced them up with the thin white laces as the shoes are colourful enough. Its handy to get a spare pair of laces. I love these shoes as they are easy to slip my feet in to, they are very comfortable to wear even on long shopping trips! They are casual shoes but still add a bit of glam and brighten up my day when i wear them. I have had lots of compliments from my friends and they are now addicted to babycham trainers too. I have a few pairs now and find they last for a long time and are easy to clean with a damp cloth. They are so cheap to buy and are often on sale, i am a casual dresser and they look cool with jeans. I really cant fault them but i know they wont be to everyones taste. I give them 5 dooyoo stars x
I've just gone to the shoe rack in our hallway to grab this pair of Babycham trainers so I can write a review on them and realised that I had seven pairs, and I don't think that's all of them... It all started four years ago, it was my best friend's hen do at Alton Towers. As we were walking around I spotted girl wearing the most gorgeous trainers, they were all sparkly and glittery and I wanted them. When I got home I made it my mission to find these trainers, I'd noticed that they said Babycham on them and so my search began. I didn't find the exact ones she was wearing but I did find others I liked and so my obsession began. The pair I'm reviewing now are the "Rainbow Lace" version, mine differ in colour from the ones pictured. My pair are black, with a bright blue detailing. They feature the same rainbow and cloud design but the colours are slightly different with the the rainbow being more pastel shades. The Babycham deer is bright blue co-ordinating with the trim of the trainer. The trainers are made from canvas material. The toe cap is made from black rubber, edged in a bright blue as well. The visible lining of the trainers is a gorgeous bright blue material, which has a slight sheen to it. The sole is also black rubber and about and inch in thickness. Each pair of Babycham trainers I have bought has come with two pairs of laces, one thinner pair and a thicker pair. These trainers were no exception and came with a black thin pair and a bright blue chunky pair. Most pictures show the trainers with the chunky laces in the bottom eyelets and the thin ones in the other eyelets. I find that there is far too much lace for the trainers this way and having them tucked in my trainers makes them uncomfortable. I just use the chunky pair, which adds more colour to the trainers (if you feel they need it!). I love the little detail you may not notice at first glance, the trainers have five metal eyelets. Each row is a different pastel colour which co-ordinates with the colours used in the design, unlike other Babycham trainers I have the eyelets are all circular, but it doesn't make the trainers any less attractive. The cloud has two little gold stars embroidered on them, which it took me a few days to notice. The sole of the trainer has cute little symbols in the grips such as cherries, hearts, butterflies and of course the Babycham deer. I find these trainers, incredibly comfortable to wear, the tongue is really padded so you don't get any rubbing on your feet from the laces. I can wear these when I know there will be a lot of walking involved and not worry about getting sore feet. Although they look heavy and chunky, i don't find them to be so when I am wearing them. I have worn these when I know I'll be doing a lot of walking, such as when I've been to Alton Towers or to Lincoln Christmas Market and I've never suffered from blisters. My boyfriend bought me this pair for my birthday a few years ago, it would either be 2007 or 2008. Either way they have had loads of wear and still look in pretty good condition, the white parts of the design are looking a bit grubby now but considering how much I've worn them you wouldn't be able to tell they are as old as they are. The only tell tale sign is the sole which is getting quite smooth now. I believe these cost around £30 and were supposed to be a limited edition only available in Schuh.
I felt very lucky when I came across these funky shoes. I got a pair of the blue ones for £3 brand new in the box at our local carboot last summer. They have a stunning stand out design on them as can be seen in the picture. I found these shoes most comfortable during the later stages of my pregnancy when my feet were very swollen. I would highly recommend them to any pregnant lady who already had wide feet before the pregnancy. I got a lot of wear out of them but as soon as they got soaked though one day in an unexpected down pour the started to break apart where the canvas attached to the white plastic over the toes. I did manage to save them using superglue but they went again a few weeks later and were eventually thrown away unfortunately. Summary These are a very practical and eye catching pair of shoes however they have probably been cheaply made to get so badly damaged in one down pour. I would recommend them for comfort and style but if you are going outdoors and it looks like it might rain - do not wear them
I came across these last summer while browsing the Amazon site, www.amazon.co.uk, I am disabled and cannot wear high shoes anymore, although I still have my high shoes and cannot seem to throw them away yet, and so I am always looking for good comfortable shoes and especially summer ones and so when I came across these I just had to buy them, I knew they would be perfect as they look same as some others I have. They are a casual shoe and like a kind of trainer type too at a bargain price. These are very spongy inside, the inner sole is soft and durable, it has nice foot foot room and room to spread out the toes comfortably, without making them feel hotter in the summer, they have a lovely lace and the top of the shoe is made of strong hard material and waterproof, although the rest of the shoe is not the toe part is, it is made from stronge canvas material and it is a very colourful design which is what attracted me to them in the first place, as I love bright colours and gothic type too but use both for different occasions obviously but these are brilliant on the eye and are lovely for the summer. They are nice and cool, they do not make the foot ache with the heat, as some feet like mine can tend to get hot and then ache but that does not happen with these, I have not worn them that much as I only bought them at the end of last summer, but I am looking forward to using them in a few months when the weather is better, I did wear these until early October as they are quite warm too, although that seems to be contradictive it is not worn with a sock they have a nice warm feeling too, I sometimes wear ankle socks the short type with these shoes, depending how hot is it, but I have only had the chance to use the socks on a couple of occasions so far, I am looking for some more of these types of shoes but I like them to be attractive and these are in my opinion. The laces are nice and soft too and easy to tie and they can be easily threaded through the plastic hole they go through. There are 5 at each side of shoe and they came threaded a different way to how I like them and so I just re threaded them and I was happier. These are also trendy enough for teenagers although some probably would not like them but early teens probably would. Nice comfortable shoe at a very good price. Bargain if you need a casual one.
I love babychams just for the quality of the shoe, they never seem to let me down. The material is soft on your feet and you could quite happily walk in these for days on end. Obviously theres the initial break-in stage but that doesn't seem to cause many issues. These are also perfect for those with slim feet, as my feet are extremely narrow and i struggle to find shoes which don't feel as though i have put my feet in shoes of a giant, these were quite snug and didn't cause any problems. Although this particular pair (rainbow lace) doesn't appeal to my tastes, there are many girls/women who love these sorts of styles and i have to admit they do look fantastic on. But i have to say i would really recommend these for teenagers as they are most likely to make the most of them. To summarise, anyone interested in these should definitely buy them as these shows will not let you down.
I bought a pair of these from Schuh about 6 months ago, and still use them (but only for driving - see below). They were about £30 and I got them because of the style of the shoe, and the design, which I thought was very different to other shoes currently available. I bought the black version with the rainbow design and bright blue laces. I wear trainers and plimsolls a lot, although I usually choose pairs with very thick soles, as I do a lot of walking. The soles are quite a lot thinner than those I would usually go for, but given the amount of walking I've done, they've lasted quite well. The right heel has come away from the fabric upper slightly and does let in water - so I can only wear them in sunshine or in my car! This happened quite recently, and I usually walk a minimum of 2 miles a day on tarmac. I've discovered that shoes with thin soles are best for me when driving (else I can't feel the pedals properly!), normal trainers are just no good. These canvas shoes are perfect for this, and even though they're now showing a bit of wear, I do keep them especially for driving! I bought these shoes primarily for style, but the price was also great. These are probably one of the cheapest pairs of shoes I've bought, but they are still very stylish. They fit well and are very comfortable.
I bought these shoes for £30 and I love them! I find the design very unique and have yet to spot anyone else wearing the same pair! I wear these pretty much every day and I've got to say they have stood up to hot sunshine as well as downpores of rain! They have got soaked a few times and i find they easily dry out without falling apart! Although because i wear these so much I have found they have the usual wear and tear and have slighty faded, but i feel this is the same with all shoes you buy. The shoe comes with two sets of laces, and I personally removed the orange one's as it was a bit of a pain with the lace rubbing inside the shoe. I'd rafer be comfortable than fashionable lol! These shoes are extremely comfy and I think at £30 they should be, but they are worth the extra pennys as they last ages and I've defintiley had my money worth out of these!
I bought these shoes in a sale for £20 (normally £30). They are so colourful and fun yet comfy at the same time. Great for wearing during the day whilst shopping etc. as they are so comfortable, the tongue is also padded a lot for extra comfort. One critisism is that they come with 2 pairs of laces (fat orange ones and thinner white ones) which look great but inside the shoe all the excess length can make the shoe cramped. An easy solution would be to only use one colour though. Something else is that when I went to buy them there was only one out on display. I asked for the other to try on but when the shop assistant brought it out, you could see the other shoe had obviously faded a lot out in the shop. I ordered another pair as it was they only pair they had in my size. After owning them for about 3 months I notice that the tongue ( which is a different material the the main shoe) is a darker pink than the rest of it, which suggests it has faded a little, although this is barely noticable. Apart from all this though, I think they are a bargain and very cool to wear and lots of people have comented on them. They are also unique and different to any other shoes I have seen which i like very much.
