      Winter Boots

      Barratts Zip Trim Ankle Boot
A good pair of boots are essential in the winter and especially this winter where it was below freezing for about a month and a bit. Normally I have boots from last year that I bring out again in the winter but this year I decided I really needed to get a new pair. I prefer ankle boots to full length boots because I have to tuck my jeans into the boots and they become creased.

When I go shoe shopping there isn't a particular shop that I go to. Barratts is a shoe and accessorise shop for both men and woman. They have many stores throughout the UK and they have a website www.barratts.co.uk, where there shoes can be bought.

The boots are black and is not made from leather but synthetic materials. I do not wear leather or other animal products and as a lot of boots seem to be made from leather I was pleased I could find one that wasn't. The heel is 1.5 inches so it isn't very high. It has a zip fastening to the side and there is a button detail. I do like boots that have these type of button details even though in my case it won't be on display. The front of the boot is also ruffled a little but not a lot which is perfect because I don't like the boots that have tight/lots of ruffles. They are really comfortable to wear and I did not get blisters when I first worn them as I am prone to blisters with new shoes. I have had them for 3 months now and they haven't shown any signs of wear and tear.

I bought them for £30 but they have since been reduced to £15. I was happy with the price and I did think that the shoes where worth the money but at £15 that is a real bargain. I would find it really hard to get good quality boots for as little as £15.

Overall these are a comfortable and stylish pair of plain black boots at an incredible price.
