Shop around for the best price and get some. They are wonderful!

My lovely boyfriend brought these as a present for me this weekend. They are listed on the manufacturer's website at £15 reduced from £20 which seems a lot for a pair of slippers to me! My boyfriend got them at TK Maxx for £6.99 which is a far more reasonable price.

The slippers are made by a company called Bedroom Athletics. I had never heard of them before and looked up their website. They do a good selection of women's slippers - most in "bootie" style of these ones but some more traditional ones. They also sell women's pyjamas and "lounge wear", which seems to be a nice way of saying clothes to slob around in. They also have a smaller selection of men's slippers. I have never seen them in the shops but apparently you can buy them at John Lewis, Brown Thomas Office, Urban Outfitters, Bank, USC, Treds, Fenwicks, Bentalls and Hoopers, as well as at a selection of independent retailers.

The slippers themselves look like black furry ankle boots (they are faux fur so no guilt for veggies). They fasten up with a zip up the front of the boot that you can't see when it is done up which makes them really easy to put on - a quality I feel is essential for slippers. The soles are also black with pink polka dots on and there is a pink trim near the tops of the boot. They do have some grip as well so you won't be falling down the stairs!

When I put these on I couldn't believe how lovely and warm they are. They cover your ankles as well as your feet which makes an enormous difference to how warm they are. The bottoms of the slippers feel incredibly soft to walk on and they seem to be much thicker than in a normal pair of slippers. This adds to how warm they are and means they feel nice to walk in. An advantage of the fact that they are "booties" rather than traditional slippers is that they stay on your feet. I generally find that normal slippers fall off making them hard to walk in.

I would thoroughly recommend these, provided you can get them from somewhere cheap. The only concern I have is that they will make my feel too hot in the summer!
