Advantages: Comfort, Variety of styles and colours

Ok its January so not the time to be wearing Birkenstocks at the minute but when i spotted i could review them I decided to share my love with the world.

I am girl who likes comfort, you can mainly find me in Baggy Jeans, T-Shirt and a Hoody in the winter months and 3/4 length denims shorts and a vest top in the summer, i go for the surf/skate style look although have no balance so do neither, anyway these shoes are comfortable which is why i love them.

They are also stylish and suit my particular dress sense down to a tee but you can buy many different styles and in different colours.

I don't like sandals that have that bit that goes in between your big toe and second toe (i am a little odd) so my favourite style from Birkenstock is the Madrid which is the one in the image on Dooyoo anyway but they do plenty of other styles too.

The Arizona has two straps, one near your toes and one closer to your heel end.

The Gizeh is a sandal with the toe separator and one strap.

The Conzumel which is a two strap sandal with a part that fits round your big toe.

The Milano which looks just like a Jesus sandal.

The Boston which is a clog style shoe.

They also do kids shoes in the style of the Arizona and Roma which is a more secure version of the Milano, and they also do non leather shoes in the style of the Arizona and Boston for vegans/vegetarians as all the other styles are made of leather.

They also make normal leather work shoes, boots and trainers and there own brand of Crocs.

All of the sandals come in various colours, i currently own two pairs, one in brown and another with pink and black flowers on it.

The sandals have a rounded heel area so your foot fits in securely but they are very wide shoes so thin feet will slip out of them, i have to push my feet right in and keep the buckle option on the tightest possible.

Other positives are they keep the air circulating round your feet to avoid sweat and odour in the summer and as they have no back you don't get painful blisters.

I do find though that if they get wet it stains the shoes so be careful, they are not designed to wear on the beach.

The shoes retail at roughly £30 per pair which i think is a reasonable price, i have had Birkenstock style shoes before owning the real thing and the comfort difference was very noticeable.

So when the months get warmer go buy a pair and show off your feet be you male or female.

Summary: I can't wait until Summer!
