A nice pair of pumps perfect for work

I bought these shoes to wear for work during the summer months as my usual work-boots were making me far too hot and sweaty. I picked them up for £30 but I'm pretty sure this was a sale price and they'd usually be a little more expensive.

They come in black or pink and as they were for work I chose the black ones which go nicely with my black trousers and white shirt. They are made of leather which is quite rigid at the back but gets softer towards the front of the shoe. They have a stitching detail effect around the top of the shoe and a slight pleated look to the front. They look very smart and the detail makes them just a little different to a plain black pump.

They fit well, I'm a size 5 and the size 5's fit me really well. They are snug enough to not feel like they are going to slip off, but they slip on easily and my feet don't feel squashed into them. The first time I wore them they did give me terrible blisters at the back of my heel and I then had to wear blister plasters for 2 weeks before I could wear them again without, but overall they are comfortable to wear.

They have a little cushioned bit at the front where the ball of the foot sits which makes them more comfortable to wear and means you can wear them for long periods without getting that ache in the ball of your foot. There is enough grip on the bottom to stop you from slipping on surfaces like tiles and laminate floors or wet floors, but they almost certainly wouldn't be any good on ice as the grip is fairly minimal.

They do keep my feet much cooler than my work-boots but I do find my feet sweat quite a lot in them, but I'd say the same of most leather shoes. I've had them for 4 months now and despite wearing them 5 days a week they're still in pretty good shape. The only real signs of wear is at the front where I do tend to scuff them a lot, but if it wasn't for that they'd still look like new.
