==Clarkes Corbett Infant Boys Shoes==

I don't really know what jack does in his shoes but they never seem to last long especially if I buy cheaper shoes instead of Clarkes ones. Because of the short period of time that his shoes from a local shoe shop lasted and the fact that they didn't cost that much less than buying a pair from Clarkes, this time I decided to go to Clarkes and buy a decent pair that will last as long as possible.

These Clarkes Corbett Shoes are perfect for school seeing as they are black leather. As yet Jack hasn't mastered or been taught the art of tying laces (and can often just about be bothered to get his own shoes on, lazy little monkey!), so these shoes with a nice big thick piece of Velcro fastening is perfect for him.

These shoes were a lot more reasonable than other shoes that Clarkes sell and for a good price of £28 they were literally only £3 more than the last cheap pair I bought for him. Jack is a size 11 junior and they do a whole ton of sizes for smaller boys and also go up into making these for larger sized feet.

Jack was able to wear the shoes to school the very next day after purchase and because they were really rather soft and very comfortable (so he says) he didn't have to wear them around the house with extra pairs of socks to loosen them up at all (like we did with his last pair). However they may have felt soft to the touch and flexible to walk in, but I could just see that the quality of these shoes is very good and to a high standard, as you would expect with Clarkes.

The sole of the shoe is nice and rubbery so has a good grip on the ground (perfect for accident prone children i.e. Jack) and the inside has a nice innersole with breathable material meaning that Jacks feet are kept clean and dry and don't ever get overly hot or sweaty! There is a comfort area of padding around the ankle which not only gives support but makes getting the shoes on and off easy and comfortable.

The front of the shoe is really made up of the large Velcro strip which is covered on top with the leather upper of the shoe. This strip is nice and wide which means that it is super sturdy and strong so when fastened wil lnot ping open at all. The edge of the shoe has a rim which I thought might scuff a lot but so far even with lots of football being played on the concrete the scuffs have been fairly minimal. Also having them polished up once a week seems to protect them further against the weather and make any scrapes and scuffs not look so bad.

Overall I have to say how impressed I am with this pair of Clarkes shoes. They are not as expensive as I thought they would be as the sizes Jack needs gets bigger and for the mere few extra pounds to buy these branded shoes over cheaper ones it really is worth while. The look good, feel good and are lasting a long time they are certainly worthy of a top score of 5 out of 5 starand a high recommendation.

I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you

Many thanks for taking the time to read.

Summary: a great pair of boys school shoes
