Compromising on kids footwear is something a lot of parents including myself believe is a complete nono, my poor husband has badly messed up feet due to wearing poor quality shoes as a kid so when we had our little one that was something we agreed on 100% that his shoes would come from clarks until he was old enough to make his own decision.

From the first visit when he was a baby and had his first crawling shoes and had his photo taken etc upto now where he is 3 he is treated well and measured patiently and acuurately every time, clarks doodles are more a summer type shoe its lighter in fabric but still top quality, and at the moment in our local store on offer at £15 a pair,there are strong and smart enough to wear in school in the summer and also go through the washer and come out like new, to be honest all my sons clarks shoes has been handed down to my husbands mate who has a little boy a year younger so he gets an extra pair of play shoes when they fit him. T he buckle is tough and kidproof and doesnt rust when gets wet which it does on cheaper canvas shoes when worn on the beach etc.

These are always available as an extra range in the summer for little ones and come in many decorative variations from fish to monkeys.Kids love them and adults love the price as clarks always measure and leave enough growing room to last approx 10-12 weeks growing room, saying that i took my son back last month as he was due to be remeasured for school and he didnt need new ones as his still fitted him perfectly so we had nearly 5 months wear out of his last shoes.
