This is the first year that I have given my daughter (almost) complete reign as to what sort of school shoes she wanted.

I took both of my children to Clarks to get their feet measured properly and left the rest up to her!

The shoes I will now review are - "Clarks - glow glaze junior".

Now my daughter seems to have reached that delicate age (between birth and leaving home!), far sooner than I anticipated, so after a little discussion about what exactly she wanted, which in fairness was anything I hadn't suggested, she came across these shoes, and no, I didn't tell her they were perfect, she would have hated them on sight then!

The reason she went for these shoes in the first place, is due to the fact they are not quite flat shoes, but have a very small wedge design on the heel, this to her is the height of sophistication, so who am I to disagree!

The reason I would have gone for these shoes for her is the facts that the toes are nicely rounded, none of these silly pointy toes cramping her feet during playtime.
Then there is the matt effect on the leather, this in turn means less scuffing or general wear and tear on the shoes, perfect due to how long she does have to spend wearing them at school and finally these are a Velcro strapped shoe, even though the picture does try and hide that fact with a very nice looking buckle effect, these are still nice and easy to put on and take off.

The sole of the shoe is very understated, as is the rest of the shoe, but has a good deep tread, ready for when all the wintry weather starts.

After purchasing these the assistant did advise us to wear the shoes to break them in gently, again due to the length of time these are on my children's feet, though of course Kaitlin didn't, she is far too adult to be listening to advice from another (she is 9!), but even with this fact she has yet to get any blisters, or any kind of rubbing from the shoe, a first in my house!

As mentioned earlier these really very understated shoes, of course they are recognisably girls shoes, but there are no bows or bells to speak of making them an ideal shoe for many different outfits, not just for school.

Price wise these will set you back around the £32.00 mark.

These are really fantastic shoes that have yet to show any signs of wear and tear, even after nearly 6 weeks worth of daily wear, recommended!

      Thanks for reading x
