Advantages: Hardwearing, value for money.

Disadvantages: A little old fashioned sometimes.

I remember having Clark's shoes as a kid; I was brought up on nothing but Clark's shoes. What I remember most is not having so many pairs of shoes as all the other kids; simply because Clarks lasted so long, I didn't need them!

Now a working adult, I still love Clark's shoes, although my wardrobe does consist of lots of other makes too. Clark's have gone expensive! If I could, I would buy all Clark's; they last and last and are almost completely indestructible. They're comfortable too, which probably accounts for the fact that the styling is sometimes dated. High fashion shoes are rarely comfortable anyway.

If you can afford it, buy them. They really do last! Sometimes they last too long.

A good tip; if you go to the Designer Outlets, and especially at Sale time, you can get amazing bargains in the Clarks shop. This is where I go to stock up because they often do multi-buy deals. It's a good time to buy Clark's handbags, too!

You can often find Clark's shoes on street markets - albeit seconds, but nevertheless, Clarks shoes. I was lucky enough last year to pick up several pairs at £5 a pair and they are still like new.

Clark's shoes have remained consistently the same quality.

Summary: Probably the best value shoes money can buy.
