Advantages: fantastic quality

Disadvantages: very expensive

My son has weird feet , shoes from normal shoe shops just do not fit as his foot is a bit high so he can never get his foot in. I would love him to have a pair of bob the builder or lazy town trainers but unfortunately they just do not fit.

So we go to Clarks shoe shop , the staff are so helpful and friendly and will always talk to my little boy. The first thing you do when you get into the kids section is take a ticket and then sit and wait it doesn`t usually take too long as long as there isn`t a rush for school shoes.

When it is your turn the sales assistant will measure your childs foot and then ask what sort of shoes you are after. They will then bring out various shoes and try them on the child.

On our last 2 visits my son has had trainers in fact the same trainers , they are very well made , the shoe lights up when he walks and it has a picture of a tyre on them which my son is over the moon with because he thinks they are bob the builder .

On our last visit even though my sons feet measured up as a 7.5 F the sales assistant felt that he needed more room and tried a size G on him and they do fit him a lot better.

At the moment my son isn`t on a growth spurt so his trainers have lasted 8 weeks so far (they look new!) and I don`t think he will need a new pair until christmas.

I wonder what everyone does with their clarks shoes after their little ones have finished with them? I have like 3 pairs of good shoes that are too small.

So the only downside to Clarks is the cost of the shoes , we pay £26 - £28 but the quality is so good that it is worg paying the extra plus knowing that you are giving your childs feet a good start in life.

Summary: Expensive but well worth the money

I agree, they are worth the money, but I sometimes feel that the don't have a very good selection of shoes for kids.......
