Advantages: Quality Soft shoes with width fitting
Disadvantages: More expensive then other places
I remember being a little girl and going into Clarks and choosing a pair of shoes all shiny and girly with pretty patterns I just loved it when it was the time to get my shoes.
They measured my feet so well, the width as well as the actual sizing,
That's what I like about Clarks, they seem to have time for you, you get your feet measured how they should and the quality is good for the money.
My 3 year old boy gets his shoes from there and they do exactly the same as they do with me, measure the feet width wise.
My son goes every 3 months now to get his feet re measured and even if his feet have changed but still have room in the actual shoe they say come back in a couple of weeks and don't try and make me buy shoes.
I feel comfortable paying £25 -£30 for my son's shoes as they are soft leather and I know they are fitted correctly. The designs are nice and seem better then a lot of designer brands that I have seen.
I realise not everyone can afford to pay for shoes of this amount for a 3 year old and put them in trainers or cheaper alternatives but I simply would not look anywhere else as children's shoes should fit properly.
I can't see any other shop that is like Clarks they seem to be in a different league.
If you are looking to go into Clarks, get your feet measured and try on a pair of there shoes and you will see what I mean they are so comfy and my son never has sore feet from his new shoes and he has had plenty of pairs now.
They are not cheap but they are no expensive either. Somewhere in the middle and the quality is great so if you're an adult and your feet don't change much you can expect a pair of boots or shoes to last a very long time.
They have a wide selection of shoes and boots for all ages and for men and women and you will find there staff most helpful and seem to know what they are doing.
Clarks are available online too but I have never used this website before.
Summary: Would not shop anywhere else for my 3 year old boys shoes

- 13/02/09 I love Clarks shoes too, but find they are quite expesnive considering how long the children wear them for. And last time I took my daughter to our local Clarks they didn't measure her correctly (without me realising) because we took her to Brantano afterwards to get her some cheaper play shoes to go with her posh shoes, and they said straight away she shouldn't be wearing the ones that Clarks had fitted her in. She was only 1 at the time and she asn't keen on having her feet measured, but they still should have made sure she got the right shoes, isn't that what they are paid to do? |

- 12/02/09 I also like the fact that they will say come back in a few weeks if there's still room in the shoes children are wearing. Makes you feel you can trust the company and they're not just out for sales. |
