Advantages: good quality and reasonable prices

For years Clarks range of shoes were old fashioned and aimed at - I believe - a more mature market. This market and childrens school shoes seemed to be the only things they stocked.

No longer!!

I have noticed a gradual change in the types of shoes and boots stocked in Clarks (hard not to as it is the only shoe shop where I live and I have a SERIOUS shoe habit!) towards a more youthful market. Some of the styles offered this summer were bang on trend and the quality is usually top notch.

As a parent I always go to Clarks first for school shoes and was also pleased to find that this years crop were not patent!! (GRRR whoever decided little girls could wear patent shoes to school is obviously childless!)

They are also, for childrens shoes, quite reasonably priced and long lasting. The fitters are all trained and do allow room for growth which helps as well.

Last winter I loved the range of boots they had for ladies and if my husband ever finds out just how much I spent in there he will not be happy.;>)

Summary: Clarks are getting better and better.
