“ Brand: Converse / Type: Sneaker „
High top Converse plimsolls decorated with the American flag. They are a seven hole sneaker and muted in shade rather than being bright red and blue. The sole and rubber toe cap are white and there is a soft shaped insole.
I do not wear pumps or trainers very often because I like fitted shoes and heels. These are for when I walk with my daughter in her pram, I like to cover distance as part of my keep fit programme so comfortable footwear is important. These have got a soft sole so are very comfortable, the stiff fabric protects my feet and ankles when I am walking but they are pliable so they move with my foot.
I have had these Converse for a year and used them nearly every day to walk for miles since the beginning of July. They are still in very good condition but the front of the sole feels like it might be going to split soon. The fabric still looks clean and the rubber is still white, there's a bit of scuffing to the front but that is just through lots of wear.
WHAT I THINK
These are very comfortable to wear while I am walking but when I get home I can't wait to take them off because they make my feet feel hot. The sole is nice to walk on and you can have them up to be as tight or loose as you like them, the laces are good quality and never come undone when I am wearing them.
The design is still on trend but the Stars and Stripes is losing attention now so I do not know how long it will be until I replace mine, soon I think. I like how the shoes have been so lightly dyed because they work with any clothing and do not stand out as much as a brighter pair would. I like wearing mine with my workout leggings but they look good with jeans also.
5 Dooyoo Stars.
Oh my god these shoes were more comfortable then i thought. I assume being high top it would be uncomfortable moving too much but man was i impress. Very good looking shoe which durable wise looks like it last a while. Such a easy shoe to clean as well. After wearing this about 25 times it still looks new just by cleaning with wipes. Order one size 1/2 smaller or true to size. I feel like they ran a bit tight or it could have been the socks go with your true size to be safe
I recently purchased myself a pair of converse after saying for a while I would get some, I absolutely love them they are very comfy although not a first I never have them off can be worn with almost everthing, I eventually went and bought another pair in a different colour convers tend to be at the height of fashion one min then not so much another but you can always wear them without getting the funny looks, my husband has several pair and my some and more recently bought my toddler some and she never has them off her feet I have found so far that they last forever and are very hard wearing mine have been in the washing machine several times aswell and have always come out fine, there also very reasonably priced aswell for the quality that you get I would recommended converse to everyone who was thinking of buying them Money well spent
These shoes were extremely comfortable, I would wear them all day and all night if I could! There was slight discomfort when breaking them in, as with any other shoes, but after this short period, they were very comfortable. I found that they were more comfortable with socks, as the material of the shoe (canvas) was slightly harsh on a bare foot, but it was not too bad.
The look of the shoes is very fashionable, as this look is very on trend, so not only do they offer comfort, but they offer fashion too, which is not normally an option! As they were quite decorative, they would make a boring outfit, such as jeans and a plain top, look interesting and more unique. However, they had a slight faded look, which meant that they didn't stand out too much if you wore them with a more decorative outfit.
Worth every penny.
Converse trainers are one of those timeless classics that never really seem to go out of fashion or at least they have the uncanny knack of always making a comeback, I have owned a few pairs over the years and one of my favourites are these stars and stripes design for which I paid £34.99 for online.
These are the traditional canvas high top that go great with jeans or casual combats and they are amazingly comfortable to wear. It is the design that makes them really eye catching and bold as they are based upon the Americcan stars and stripes flag, around the actual shoe are bold red and white stripes while the tongue of the shoe is blue and is decorated with white stars to complete the effect. The laces are a standard white colour. The pair that I have are somewhat different to the ones in the Dooyoo picture as the stripes are not as wide instead there are a lot more narrower stripes but still alternating with the same colours. Personally I think that the ones in the picture may be the male version of this shoe but I might be wrong. The rubber sole of the shoe is also white.
These fit wonderfully and are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, I do find that in very hot weather they can be a bit sweaty but in the normal British summer that does not look like happening much this year.
The only downside is that they can get a bit grubby after a lot of wear but as they are not excessively expensive that is not a disaster and bacuase they are canvas they can survive a mild wash without losing their shape.
These are certainly attention grabbing high tops and they look really cool when matched with denim, I have had this pair for almost two years now and I still pull them out of the closet every so often for an outing.
When I saw these Converse for sale, I knew I had to have them! I'm probably too old for Converse (Am I?) and probably too old for loud bold prints but I really wanted them to wear with my skinny jeans. I have always liked converse and owned various designs of their shoes from leather sneakers, canvas hi tops and canvas pumps. I like the brand, I find them comfortable and I love the individuality of their designs.
==Price and availability==
These trainers were slightly more expensive than I'd usually pay and cost me around £45.00. This is a lot of money but I left the shop after seeing them and felt sad leaving them so I had to go back in and buy them!
I always think that converse get better with age once they take on that grimey look. I do not like shiny white converse shoes as they look too prim and proper. However, when these were first brought home they came with a crisp white sole, gleaming white laces and perfectly white clean rubber signature toe cover. Luckily these are less white now and look very cool. The design of the canvas hi tops is the main selling point and has the American flag on them. This bold design is eye catching and very striking. The tongue has the blue background with the stars on and the sides of the pumps are red and white stripes. It was the design that won it for me.
.==Comfort, design and style==
These are cool pumps and are not for the faint hearted. They look incredibly cool on and like I said above, I am probably too old to be sporting loud trainers such as this. They look great with skinny jeans and I have even worn them with shorts. The shoes lace up, now I like to have mine really loose fitting, so much so that they often fall off my feet but it may be more stylish to have them done right to the top and fitted tightly against your ankle. I tuck the laces behind the tongue and forget about them, I find the boots really comfortable. In fact, they are comfortable whichever way you wear them. I just find them a little bit annoying when you have to unlace them all the time, hence my baggy style. These shoes are perfect for casual trips out, shopping and lunch.
Despite their casual appearance though they are no good for the gym or sport activity and this is because the sole is quite thin. There is hardly any cushion between you and the floor and they are exceptionally flat. I get really tired, sore feet if I have done long day of walking in them. I wore them last for a mammoth shopping trip and my feet ached so much afterwards and I blame the fact that the soles are really thin, you feel every step you take. For short journeys though, I would describe them as comfortable as there is nothing that rubs, itches or irritates.
I purchased these Converse shoes for my 20 year-old son as he absolutely loves shoes and Converse is one of his favourite brands.
He has at least 14 pairs of various Converse shoes under his bed! plus a few pairs of his 2 other favourite brands. He has also bought plain white baseball boots and pumps and created his own designs on them with permanent fabric pens. I would like to post a photo of them all on here. I have told him that he has to vacuum his own room now as it takes ages to pick everything off of the floor.
I knew that he would love these particular pair as he loves anything America - especially the flag, and wants to try and move to the states when he completes his Graphics Design degree. I must admit that there will be some feelings of relief on my part when he does finally leave the family nest because the bedroom he occupies is too small for all his clothing accessories, i.e. he has well over 30 belts lying on a heap on his bedroom floor.
These Converse are particularly nice as the colours have a slightly worn-in look - hence the colour is not too garish. They look brilliant with blue skinny jeans which my son wears a lot. He also has a bright red pair of skinny jeans Grrrr . . . .
One of the best aspects about these particular style of Converse shoes is that they will improve in style with age, i.e. the worn- in look will be enhanced even when they do become a bit tacky with wear. The stars and stripes on a white background canvas will be great for this summer and will be a great asset to any wardrobe.
Although these Converse are a size too big for his girlfriend - she has also worn them, with leggings and teamed up with a denim mini-skirt and they looked fab on her.
I would imagine these to be more popular among students as students tend to like to make a statement about something they feel passionate about.
Overall - These Converse are very stylish and will be appealing to both male and females.
When it comes to fashion, I like to make sure I wear things a little more individual than other people. Being a fashion student makes standing out a big thing especially when fashion is something you love. Despite not being American and loving all things english, I couldn't help but fall in love with these when I saw them online a long time ago.
Converse are a shoe made for sports, but over the years they have ended up being purely for fashion and this is where they will remain. Closely linked with the 'skater' or 'preppy' stereo-type, but loved by many more people and can be styled in so many ways.
The Hi-Tops are the most popular shoes from Converse. The fit to just above the ankle and are made of canvas with a lace up front. The toe has a semi-circle of rubber over the top with a white sided rubber base and grey bottom. They have many replica shoes out in the market now but none quite beat the originals. All convese shoes have the converse logo printed on the inside of each shoe at the ankle. I love the design of these and how you can tell from a distance the brand they are. All Hi-Tops are a different colour, some patterned and some just plain. I chose these American flag ones due to being different and at the time they were on sale. The stripes of the flag are around the shoe and the tongue is blue starred. Its quite distressed and I have frayed mine a little more to give a bit of a rugged look, but without they are still lovely. I think converse did well to style it this way and not just print the flag on the shoe how it appears, creativity has gone into this and worked in their favour.
One of my only problems with this shoe is the colour, because it gets so dirty so quickly. Although, I tend to try and keep mine for days when it isn't raining so they stay nicer for longer. To clean them is quite simple though, they can just go in the washing machine on a low temperature - but be warned they take a long time to dry afterwards.
When it comes to wearing the shoe, they are ridiculously comfortable. I find canvas shoes to be the nicest for wearing along with military boots. They just fit so nicely and it feels like you're wearing slippers. I never wear these and get uncomfortable. I tend to wear them with jeans or leggings and a loose fitting top. They are more of a casual shoe rather than a style shoe to be worn in the evenings but still gorgeous!
Size wise, they are pretty good. I am a size 5 and fit perfectly into this size shoe from Converse. I hate when you have to go up or down a size, it makes ordering online so much harder! They fit really nicely and you can easily wear thin socks or none to be comfortable.
These cost me £30 in an online sale from Schuh quite a while ago, but I think you can still buy them from any Converse stockist. I would really recommend them, such a comfortable casual shoe! I don't think I can fault them really because they seem to be still lasting well, comfortable and my favourite shoe!
I love Converse traners and hi-tops. I've had numerous pairs over the years and will definately continue to do so.
These ones are really trendy and bang up to date, I've had lots of comments on the design asking where I got them from (it was Schuh).
Converse are soooo comfortable, you can wear them all day and you walk for miles and miles in them and your feet do not hurt at all. I practically live in mine, they are ideal for day to day wear, on holidays, anything really.
My only issue with them is that they do not seem to last well, or wear well. They do get shabby quite quickly - this bit I can live with as it adds to the lived in grungy look that suits Converse. However, I do find that they do get to the point where they need replacing very quickly, they don't stand up to an awfull lot of use. This may well just be me, maybe I'm quite heavy footed! This doesn't put me off though, I just buy a new pair, they are reasonanbly priced anyway, and you can always get them on sale somewhere if you are not too bothered about your choice of colour.
I love converse! Have so many different pairs from over the years. But these are definitely my fave. They are so versatile and go with absolutely everything. They are comfortable, stylish and very popular so you can't fail by purchasing a pair of these. I am a size 7 and the 7 I got these in fitted perfectly. No need to break them in or anything. When I bought them first, none of my friends had them but now everybody has them because they are just awesome shoes. I have worn them with so many different outfits. From jeans and hoodies to skirts with tights, dresses and tracksuits. They really go with absolutely everything. My pair came with an extra pair of laces to so that if the others became worn out I could change them. The stars and stripes are very different too so that there is nothing like them anywhere.
I do find that the white on these shoes gets dirty pretty easily, they are even smudged in make up...how does that happen? But problem solved, I throw them in the washing machine by themselves on a cool wash and quoila as good as new!!
I bought my pair for 45Euro, which is around £35. This is extremely good for trainers of this quality as I usually pay Euro60 upwards (£50) for nike, adidas brands etc. But I do find them just as high a quality as these popular brands. I bought them in Schuh, but they have them in so many other shops and I have even saw them on Amazon for really cheap. They are extremely durable and I have worn them in so many varietys of weather, mostly rain, I am Irish after all. And they are still going strong. They don't look new of course, quite battered as they have been worn so much, but I am after getting so much wear out of them.
Overall I would highly recommend these shoes. As shoes go, they are quite cheap. They can be worn with pretty much anything and are very durable. I would give them 5/5.
Im a huge fan of converse, I generally stick to the classic colours that go with everything.. I have a range of the orginal white, Navy and even red ones, so when i saw these i thought they was perfect.
Due to the huge design i felt it could be over powering and may not go with alot of clothes, however due to the classic colours they just add a bit of uniqueness, i always wear the high tops with shorts, and cropped jeans to give an american vibe of style, so the flag works even more to my benifit.
i like that the design is worn as i feel converse should be worn showing all your adventures, and should be a little dirty.
very comforatble i find the hig tops more comfortable for long hours of use than the low tops.
great value for money.. more design but yet still the same price as a classic white pair.
I got mine in shuh lakeside, however they are cheaper online at amazon.
i brought some of these american flag trainers and cant stop wearing them keep getting people coming up to me and asking where i got them from i got mine from Legends in covent garden via mail order for £36 what a bargain, the soles of mine are red and they go well with jeans or shorts in the summer and are cooler than modern style trainers in this hot weather we have been having. ideal for traveling in im going to get another pair of these when they are worn out ... im a converse convert for life you could say
As some of you may know by now, I am a big lover of shoes, and a big lover of all things American. It is because of these two facts that I just could not pass up on the wonder that is the Converse All Star Hi-Tops - Stars and Stripes.
I saw them in a Schuh store when I was out on a shopping trip with friends and I just fell in love with them. I have had a few pairs of Converse shoes in the past, and I thought they were great, so I was quite happy to buy another pair of shoes from the same brand.
The hi-tops themselves look just like any other normal hi-top shoes, made from the same canvassy type material and lace up. They have the baseball style around the front with the rubber soles and edging and they come up just past the ankle, which is what gives them their name of Hi-Tops.
The thing that makes these hi-tops different from the others however, is the awesome print of the USA stars and stripes flag. The sides of the shoes are printed white and red stripes, and the tounge is a blue background with the white stars printed on it. The laces are white and most of the base of the shoe is also white. I think this looks really cool, and the way they have set the pattern out on the shoe really works and makes it look very cool.
When it comes to wearing these shoes, they are very comfortable indeed. It is actually quite easy to slip your foot in, just make sure the laces are looser at the top so you can slide your foot in, and then you just tie them nice and tight (or loose if you so wish, it is up to you!) and hey presto, you are wearing the shoe lol!! The shoe fits my foot quite nicely, and I have no problems with it rubbing or pinching my foot when I walk. Even when tied loosely it does not slob around on my foot, and I can honestly say I have no problems with the fit of the shoe.
I do get a little bit annoyed with having to undo and loosed the laces to take it off, which is not so bad if you are wearing the shoes all day, but when I am in and out of peoples houses, or I am going to the gym and I have to change my shoes ( they are not really gym shoes!) then I have to keep undoing them and doing the back up, which can get a bit of a hassle. This is nothing really major and a factor I had to think of when I first bought them.
I do find that the white on these shoes gets dirty pretty easily, but I have popped them into a cool wash and they have come out looking new again. I never tumble dry them though, I always let them dry on a radiator so they do not get damaged or anything. Having a lot of white on a pair of shoes, I was not expecting them to stay white and clean for very long, especially with me! I just can not keep anything white clean for long!
My friends love these shoes, and a few of my friends have since bought a pair of their own. I paid £45.99 for my pair in Schuh, and they are still available in Schuch stores across the country, as well as on the Schuh website. I have since found them cheaper on Amazon, for the smaller price of £36.99, which is a bargain in my eyes!
These shoes are well made, tough and very durable. I personally can not find anything bad to say about them, and if you like the look of them, then I say you should grab youself a pair, as they really are a great pair of shoes which are worth the money and the look so cool too.
I give these hi-tops a 5 out of 5 stars, and I totally, totally recommend them to everyone.
