Advantages: stylish, comfy
Disadvantages: not waterproof
When I was looking for a new pair of shoes, I had no intention of buying converse or paying that price, but soon as I tried a pair I knew that I wanted them. I bought my pair of burgundy converse for £40 pound at schuh.
I remember trying these on in the store and loving them, they weren't comfy to start off to be honest and I found the sole quite hard but this didn't stop me buying them as the look of them was pretty cool and stylish, I don't often wear trainers but these are different. After a few days of wearing the converse they became very comfortable and I was wearing them nearly every day.
The converse is made up of the material canvas with a rubber sole. It has cotton fabric inside which is comfortable to slip your foot into and they have thick white laces with white rubber at the front of the trainer and also along the edging of the trainer, this gets dirty and becomes muddy easily (if you wear them as much as me!) but also comes off easily with a little bit of a scrub. It also has the converse label above the laces and at the back of the shoe, the logo at the back wears off after a few months as it made from rubber.
The converse are also available in hi tops which means they come up just past your ankle, which I preferred, and they also have the bigger converse logo (circle with a star) however, my ankle was to small and therefore they creased and would not be suitable. Converses also range in colours, from black, white, blue and purple. If you like the style of them it is well worth looking into the different colours available as you are bound to find one you would like.
They are seen as a timeless classic as they go with all casual Jean's/Cords/dresses/ nearly all outfits. The only downside I see with Converse (and all canvas footwear in general) is there all-weather suitability, as you would expect they aren't especially waterproof but if you do go out in the rain you can just stick them under a dryer. They are long lasting footwear though and do not wear out quickly. For some reason my feet get colder in these than standard trainers, I'm not sure if this is because of the sole or just the weather, but I would still recommend them as they are comfortable and stylish.
You can purchase converse from different stores such as JD, Office and Schuh.
At the moment they're £43 from Schuh
Thanks for reading.
Summary: they're suitable for almost everything!
