canvas high top shoes by Converse

Shoes are something that I love to buy but up until lately I hadn't been able to spend as much on getting new pairs. I went through a phase of always wearing flats and never wearing trainers but now some days, I just want a comfy pair of casual trainers to wear into work and especially with the colder weather. I have seen a lot of girls wearing high top trainers which I like but it made me realise that I wanted to buy Converse again. I used to have a pair but they got too dirty and I ended up having to get rid of them but I wanted to buy them again so I decided to go for it and get a new pair.

Converse Chuck Taylor's come in a wide range of fabrics, patterns and colours but for me I wanted to keep it classic so I opted for the black canvas ones. With these, they are a unisex shoe so the sizing ranges from a 3 right up to a 12, these fit usually quite accurately, so I usually stick to my usual size 7 when buying these. The Converse logo is printed on the shoe and they are made from a black canvas body which is comfortable enough and they have laces to fasten up and they are a nice snug fit. These have the All Star logo branding on the midsole and on the side of the shoe.

High tops are not for everyone as if you are really girly, you may not like these but they are great if you just want a casual day but still want to look trendy. I like the classic plain colours like the black and blue High Tops as I feel these go with most of my jeans but if you are more adventurous there are bolder choices. As soon as I tried on my size and laced them up, I felt these were comfortable on my foot and tight enough, they never come undone usually when I wear them either and my feet never had to break into these, they have been a joy to wear from the first day of wear.

These have rubber toe cap and outsole but the toe cap is white rubber and this is the part of the shoe which gives the most obvious signs of wear as it can get quite dirty if you are regularly wearing these. When it comes to cleaning these, I have tried to clean the rubber but they do get to a stage when they can no longer be cleaned to get back to the original white but sometimes people make this dirty on purpose as the worn look on these shoes is trendy. Being canvas, they do not feel as thick quality as other trainers I have but it is part of the brand and I do really like how these look.

What I like about these shoes is the fact that they suit a lot of different looks, some people wear them with a dress or just casually with jeans or with leggings, really they do look good with most looks whether it is a stylish outfit or just simply jeans and a t-shirt. I usually like to wear mine with skinny jeans and I think this is the best look but I don't wear mine ever with dresses. I think what has shocked me the most about these shoes is that from when I bought my first pair a good few years back they have since become even more popular and the price has risen by a high percentage.

I am happy with my Converse and although I don't wear them every day, I do wear them a few times a week and have always found them comfortable, even when wearing for a long period of time. These are so easy to throw on and they are so popular worldwide that they can be purchased from most shoe retailers. It is worth trying these on before buying to make sure you get the right fit with these as they do come in half sizes as well for a more precise fit if you are a half size. These are the kind of shoe that you could just buy in a few different colours to alternate with different outfits, an essential in my wardrobe.

These shoes can be purchased everywhere, Office are selling them for £47.99 which is cheaper than what Schuh are selling them for but it varies online you just need to look around.

        Great shoes

Over the years I have had a number of pairs or both real Conevrse all stars and highstreet imitations. Here are my thoughts.

Eveyone is aware of this infamous shoe. I have owned these in black and also green. They come in both high tops and normal, and I have always favoured high tops. So these shoes go to the ankle, and have a white tip at the front with black detailing (all of this is rubber) and also this detailing is obvious on the sides. I love the way these look and everybody knows what shoes you a wearing straight away. The converse all star logo is also obvious at the top, this again shows these are genuine.

These really are of great quality. Each pair of these ell last me about two years , even though I am heavy footed and wear them everywhere! The only thing that makes me throw them away is because they get so dirty I can't clean them properly. This is when I have to consider throwing them away. If I was happy wearing them dirty they would last forever!
The rubber is not easily damaged, nor does is scratch and the material is of great quality. I have never even had a loose thread on them.

I always get a UK size 5 and these always fit perfectly, I tuck the laces in but these can always be tied if they want to be a little more secure. These do not need time to be worn in, and no plasters are needed.

These vary greatly in price depending on where you buy them from. They normally retail for around £40 but shops like sports direct quite often have half price deals on them, so they are only £20. I tried to get them on these deals as really and truly £40 is a lot of money.

These are also sold at a number of stores online and also on the highstreet in office and schuh.
