WHAT ARE THEY?

High top pumps from the large Converse brand.  

THE DESIGN

These are made of tough fabric and you can buy them in a lot of different colours and patterns.  The ones I have got now are green but I have had other pairs in cream, red, black and ones that had a star print all over them. I have got some with an American flag on them also but I do not wear them very often now.  The pumps have got a sole with good grips and the edges of the sole is raised up the side of the shoes by about half of an inch and that looks good but it also protects the material from getting wet and stained when it is wet weather.  

COMFORT

These are very comfortable.  I am a beautician so I am on my feet a lot through the day and even though I like to wear high heeled shoes this is not always the best option for me if I know I am not going to sit down very much in the day.  I like Converse because they are very on trend but they do not look sloppy like some pumps and trainers do, I wear mine usually with jeans or loose jogging bottoms because the style makes them unsuitable to wear with skirts or tight trousers or leggings. They are comfortable because they let my feet breathe even when I am standing for a long time.  

DURABILITY

Converse trainers last for a long time as long as you do not let them get very wet too often.  They are not waterproof so I do not wear them in the rain or wet weather because they make my feet wet and that is not very comfortable.  None of my Converse shoes have ever split or had the seams come undone, the only thing that happens sometimes is that the sole at the toe comes unstuck but that is when they are very old and even then they can be stuck back with glue if you do not let the damage go too far.  

WHAT I THINK

I like Converse trainers very much and my favourites are the high tops.  I like that I do not have to lace them all the way to the top and then I can either have the trainers as high tops or fold the tops down.  

I like how comfortable they are and think they look smarter and more on trend than sports trainers, they are not as versatile as trainers I don't think though and they do not look complimentary with many different styles of clothes.  My green ones clash badly with a lot of my clothes so I have to be very careful what I wear with them. 

ANYTHING ELSE

Converse trainers cost about £25 - £35  and they can be bought in sizes to fit children, women and men.  I think they are worth it even though they are fabric because they are so comfortable and stop my feet from aching when I am standing a lot at work.
