Ok that's it - I must be getting old- very old- someone has bought me a pair of microwaveable slippers as a present. I have of course tried them on- and there is no way you could walk very far in them -I might make the kitchen or the loo- but that's about it- they tend to slip down. But, having put them in the microwave for couple of minutes to test the results- I am sure that come the winter months- I will absolutely love them and be more than happy to curl up with a cuppa in one hand and the tv remote in the other- feeling very cosy and snug. It was my birthday recently and i received some lovely presents, but the most random present i've ever recieved, microwavable slippers! I was most amused by this concept. On first inspection i realised that the slippers smelt of lavender and the base of them was like a bean bag. When i put them on they made my feet look huge as most of these microwavable slippers are one size fits all. I am a size five and they did fit as they are elasticated around the top on the pair i have and they look like normal slippers.
