Advantages: Keep your feet warm, comfortable, easily cleaned
Disadvantages: Make your feet look big!
Not being a big slipper wearer and wanting a pair of comfortable shoes to wear indoors and out in the garden, I came across the Mammoth Crocs.
Mammoth Crocs are basically Cayman Crocs but with a fleecy lining, making them very comfortable! Sure, they're not the best of looking shoes, but then I don't intend on wearing them to work or down the high street, so who cares?!
Crocs are made out of what Crocs call croslite(tm) material, which is basically a durable resin material. It makes the Crocs comfortable, odor resistant, lightwieght and easy to clean. According to Crocs, they're also recyclable, so they're even good for the environment!
The fleece lining in the Mammoth Crocs makes them extra comfortable. I've got awkward feet which makes it difficult to find shoes that fit, are comfortable and which don't slip off. These fit me perfectly. The fleece lining is removable and so it can be washed if needed. Beware, the Mammoth Crocs without the lining will be a size or two bigger than with the lining.
One thing I will say though, is make sure you try on a pair before buying a pair of Mammoth Crocs. Due to the fleece lining, it makes the Mammoth Crocs smaller than the regular sizes. I normally take a size 7 in womens shoes, but the size of the Mammoth Crocs that fit me are a Mens 8 / Womens 10!
I chose the black Mammoth Crocs (both the lining and the shoe itself are black), but they come in many different colours including: Army (Green) shoe/Oatmeal (a greyish white) liner, Berry (deep pink)/Oatmeal, Chocolate (brown - both shoe & liner), Cotton Candy (baby pink)/Oatmeal, Grape (Bluey/purple)/Oatmeal (as shown), Red/Oatmeal, and other colours too. So there's plenty of colours to choose from.
I tried a pair of Mammoth Crocs on at a local shop, but didn't like the £30+ price tag. However, I bought my pair from Amazon for £23.30, but with an Amazon voucher earned from Dooyoo it meant I only had to pay £13.30!
So all in all, Mammoth Crocs keep your feet comfortable and toasty warm, no matter how they look!
Summary: I wouldn't wear them down the street, but they're handy as slippers and for in the garden.

- 08/04/09 haha! These remind me of Dutch Clogs! My ex's sister in Holland used to wear real clogs in her garden! I literately used to howl with laughter! x |
