Advantages: Comfy, hardwearing, great value
Disadvantages: slippery when fett get sweaty
I purchased a pair of the ballet crocs in pale green around 4 years ago, when everyone was wearing crocs. They are not so fashionable nowadays, but my pair are still going strong! I wear mine as slippers, for gardening and going down to the river.
The design of the shoe: The ballet croc is oval shaped, with a large opening that reaches to just behind the top of my big toe. Inside the shoe there are small ridges, which help prevent your feet from sliding around. The shoe has a line of small holes along the font and at the heel, which serve for ventilation and are great if you walk through water in them. You also purchase and attach small shapes through these but I never have.
After 4 years of wear, the tread on the bottom is almost non-existent, but this is to be expected. I intend to purchase another pair in the summer.
They are very comfortable to wear, easy to clean and dry quickly after a wash in a bowl of soapy water. Also they are so easy to slip on to pop out to the garden etc. I love my pair and wear them most days! I believe they cost around £25, but can be purchased cheaper nowadays on the likes of Ebay.
Disadvantages: If you have sweaty feet (which I often do) then your feet will slide around, due to the sweat having nowhere to escape to in the artificial fabric. This is why I give the ballet croc a 4/5, and there are no other disadvantages as far as I have found.
Summary: My favourite shoes!
