Advantages: Comfort

Disadvantages: They Are Ugly

Pester Power
=========

Last summer my daughter kept asking me to buy her some crocs and I kept refusing to buy them on the basis that they were the ugliest shoes ever, overpriced and hyped up by the Z list celebs that wore them in the magazines. Then one day we went to the garden centre and they were on special offer so I relented to pester power and got her a pair. I decided to try a pair of them on to see if they were as comfy as I'd heard they were and it was like walking on a pillow. Spurred on by more pester power, I ended up walking out of that garden centre nearly £50 poorer and with matching fuchsia pink mother and daughter crocs in the cayman design.

The Slippery Slope
=============

These shoes are comfortable. My initial intention was to wear them around the house and garden only, after all they were comfier than my flip flops. In the beginning I would change into more respectable looking shoes to leave the house. However, soon I started wearing them out and about. At first it was just round to my sisters house (she laughed at my ugly shoes) and then to the corner shop. Eventually, I got braver and wore them everywhere except work. I remember one lady in Tesco looking at my feet and then giving me that look, the self same look of derision I would have given a 30 year old woman wearing crocs a few weeks previously. I didn't care though, have I mentioned how comfy these shoes are yet?

The Downside
==========

These shoes are incredibly ugly. I've truly never seen an uglier pair of shoes in my life. I have big feet already and they make my feet look even bigger. They are also bright pink. I am now 31 years old, I know a woman of my age shouldn't be wearing bright pink plastic shoes but I don't care because they are so comfortable. They can also make your feet sweat a bit.

Wear And Tear
==========

Despite wearing them a lot, mine still look remarkably good. I'm planning on giving them a good clean and wearing them to the swimming pool to stop me slipping on the tiles. My daughter wrecked hers with several weeks hard playing over the summer. They were not as sturdy as trainers but she still got a lot of wear out of them. She got a second pair for Christmas which she wears as indoor shoes at school (these are black not pink!) and they look as good as new with light use only.

The Future
========

I fully intend on buying myself a new pair of crocs this summer. There are loads of styles, every one as ugly as the next. I might even restrain myself to a more muted colour than fuchsia. These are truly the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned and I don't care if people point and laugh at my ugly shoes.

Summary: Please dont laugh at me

I think these are cool and good for feet trouble is I've got very narrow feet so I'm actually swimming in them! xx

I'm not laughing at you, but I may give you a clued-up smile.

Comfort is much more important than fashion. Believe me,I know all about it! I find the price expensive for "plastic???"
