Advantages: Comfortable Hardwearing Comfortable

Disadvantages: FAKES

Crocs, my mum first bought me a pair of Crocs however in true money saving fashion, she bought me a cheaper pair of the not real crocs, cant say fakes as they were not pretending to be crocs but they were just in the same style and same range of bright colours. The main difference between my Crocs and the real ones will be revealed shortly. The fake ones have a slightly more plastic feel to them, however to my suprise they did not make my tend to be sweaty feet sweaty, damp or smelly. They were, and still are as I wear them around the house desperately comfortable. However the stud on the side of the shoe, (on my fake ones) which depicted a flower fell of within a few weeks of me starting to wear them, This resulted in me having to remove the strap from both, so they didnt look odd. No harm done just can't wear them with the strap over my heel anymore. The holes on the upper of the fake crocs fall in a different pattern to the real ones and I found with my particular pair that the croc ornaments did not fit as the holes were to large to hold the decorative motifs in place. Still no harm done. I wore my 2 pairs of fake crocs alternatley for a year, dependant upon what I was wearing on the rest of my body, no fashion sense in wearing the crocs but have to keep ahead of the fashion police in other ways.

Then as winter set in, they are great for winter too you know the Oh No Not Crocs With Socks dilemma had wore off and I happily supported mine with socks, and the weather changed and I had wore the grip of my fake crocs the difference between them and the real ones became apparent. Although at the difference between them did not become obvious until I had tried out the real crocs which was at a later date. When the weather is wet there is no grip what so ever when they have worn down in shops even with anti slip tiling or my kitchen for that matter, Its like walking on ice. It is so dangerous it is untrue as the grip in wet weather when walking outside with the fake crocs is faultless but as soon as you walk inside on certain types of flooring, as said earlier even on non slip flooring it is unbelieavable how there is no resistance what so ever to the extent that when it first happened I had to remove them in tescos and walk around in my socks!!!! not recommended!!

However when the real Crocs became reduced well infact Buy on get one Free in the shoe shop near to my parents house my mum bought herself a new pair and gave me the free pair. I have wore the real Crocs almost daily for 2 years now and they do not slip when wet either indoors or outdoors. They are so comfortable it is untrue, you would not believe how easy they are on the feet, even tired swollen feet. Its like walking on cushions. The straps can be worn behind the heel or over the top and the side studs on the real ones have lasted with the real ones so I still do have the choice. They are more rubbery than the fake ones and even though the fake ones are comfortable to wear the real ones are even more so.

Crocs are wore by men women children boys and girls alike, they now come in a multitude of styles, I also have a pair of the flip flops which are as comfy, and a pair of Mary Janes which are sort of dolly shoe style, again all as comfortable as each other although I prefer my clog type.

When mine get a little dirty I just throw them in the washer although my mum scrubs hers in the sink with a bit of flash!...you cant put shoes in the wash she says!!

In case you're wondering about if they get wet (rain or on holiday on the beach etc), basically the result of getting wet is they basically do, but fundamentally nothing changes they don't get uncomfortable, the shape does not warp, they are the same shoe but wetter. How long they take to dry depends on the weather really.

Crocs are available in a size baby 4 up to a mens size 14 and just about in every colour you can think of. They are tough hardwearing and comfortable. I certainly wouldnt be without mine!!

ps mine are yellow but my flip flops are off white and lilac

Summary: I only wear shoes when I'm going out on the town these days!!

Well, mine are real and still slip. But I agree, they last for absolutle ages - very worth paying the premium.
