Crocs are amazing. (Crocs Cayman)

Advantages: Lightweight, indestructable, affordable, semi-stylish

Disadvantages: Not puddle friendly but they dry fast

My first pair of crocs were black caymans and I was, at first, slightly apprehensive given their weight (i.e. nothing) and their appearance. They aren't, at first glace, fashionable. Then I noticed that so many people were wearing them. I practically lived in 1 pair for about 3 months and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

I was first introduced to Crocs when I was in hospital with peripheral nerve damage to my feet. In other words, anything that touched them was agony. At first, I could wear them because of the bobbles in the sole of the shoe were hurting, but once the pain had gone, those little bobbles massaged my feet every step of the way.

What is more is that I could happily shower with them on (non slip soles), and they would be dry in minutes. They are so bendy and light you can hardly feel that you have anything on your feet, yet they are supportive due to the back strap, and I can't even begin to describe just how comfortable they are.

I have been truly converted to Crocs - I now have 4 pairs and I may as well bin all my other shoes. I have a pair of boots, fur lines shoes, and a pair of what look like leather ballet shoes. No, all rubber.

And they are pretty much indestructable also. For the price, I am extremely impressed and my feet are very happy indeed.

The only thing to remember is that they have holes fairly close to the ground so puddles and rain aren't advisable. But they do make a "professional" range which are fully waterproof. They also make high heels now (well wedge shoes)!

I take my normal shoe size in Crocs but some people advise going for a size up from the usual. They are meant to be loose fitting so as to prevent sores etc. It is a bit strange at first but it is surprisingly easy to get used to them.
