Advantages: They have helped my poorly feet & they are comfortable.
Disadvantages: Look awful & Cheaply made
**** Introduction ****
After constantly complaining about sore feet and cracked heels, I was recommended these Crocs Cayman shoes by a good friend of mine. She is a care worker and is constantly standing and she said that these were the best shoes she had even bought.
With the recommendation I hunted high and low to find the perfect pair, as for me these are not the best looking shoes and the fake Crocs stand out a mile as they are very thick and plastic looking.
**** The Crocs Cayman Shoes ****
These have become very popular through out the nursing profession and any profession that involves standing for long periods of time.
The shoes are a slip on that can be worn as a clog type shoe or a sling back as it has a small strap at the back that secures it to your foot, if you want to wear it as a clog you just flip the strap to the front and off you go.
These are very similar to the jelly shoes I remember as a child and they are made from a similar spongy plastic, that moulds around your foot when you wear them making them very comfortable indeed.
I have to admit you feet do sweat in these so if you have a foot smelling problem you are best steer clear of these, but on the good side they have small round holes situated around the front for the shoe, this is to allow the air to circulate and keep you feet cool. The only down side to the holes is the fact that if you wear socks these can be seen and when it rains you get your feet wet.
These come in many different colours and styles, but I went for the standard black ones the same as the picture above, as they don't look so bad when they are worn with jeans of work trousers.
The worst thing for me is that they are not unique and every one is wearing them thanks to the non branded ones that are widely available nowdays, I have tried a non brand pair and they are not a patch on the real thing as they are hard and to very comfortable compared to the Crocs.
I paid £28.00 for mine from a local shoe boutique which I think is very reasonable as they are so comfortable and I am currently living in them.
**** My Views ****
These are really awful to look at as they are so clinical, they remind me of hospitals and nurses but they do have a slightly different edge as they have air holes in them and they can be funked up with little badges, but this is certainly something I would never do as I think this is more for children and more appealing for them to be honest.
I would never have dreamed of wearing such an ugly pair of shoes, but me feet were that sore and they were so comfortable. So with age I have decided that I don't really care what I look like as long as I am in comfort, and I will only have to wear them until my feet repair.
For the price I am happy as they really are very comfortable, but these will be going as soon as possible as I hate the look of them, they look so cheap and nasty and I am only wearing them because I have to.
I would recommend these for comfort only and not looks as they are very ugly.
Summary: Recommended for comfort purposes only.
