What are Crocs?

Crocs are a type of shoe made of a spongy plastic and are quite expensive at £25-£30 per pair (average price). One could describe them a scandal.

My Opinion

I first spotted them last year (2008) for those of you who may read this review next year. One of the directors of the hotel came into work wearing a pair (she works outside in the gardens). They were a green colour with a sling back. She asked me what did I think of her shoes?
Firstly I tried very hard not to laugh. I thought they looked like those old fashioned 'Jellies' most of us wore at sometime or another when we were children. They were they first thing my mother bought me when we went on a beach holiday. Of course, I did not want to offend her so I replied:

'Very nice' hoping that me face did not give me away.

When she walked out of the office we all giggled, and most of my colleagues agreed 'They are hideous'

Time went by and I saw more and more people wearing them.

I spotted them in almost all the designer shops.

Some of my friends started to wear them.

My thoughts were; what's happening to everyone, they are the most ugly shoes I have seen in my life.

They do nothing for the ladies legs and are chunky and cumbersome.

Out shopping one day I notice a sale in the shoe company in Poole. I thought hey maybe I would spot a 'bargain'. I am a sucker for a deal, so I often purchase items don't really want. I went upstairs and low and behold I spotted a huge box of white crocs. Guess how much? £5. Although I hated them, I had no intention of ever wearing them outside for the public to see me in them. I thought okay, I could wear them around the house as slippers.

I purchased the pair, and they got thrown in the bottom of my wardrobe. I tried them on once. It was winter at the time and they did not really feel like a winter cosy slipper.

Late spring arrived this year (2009), and I couldn't find my usual scandals. It was a sunny day in late April and quite warm. I spotted the 'Uglies'. Oh, I thought, I will pop them on for now no one will see me.

I carried on with my usual housework and I completely forgot I had them on, as I walked up to the local shop. Too late, my neighbour had spotted me wearing them. She said: 'They look comfy', kind of like a space shoe don't you think?

Conclusion

I won't waffle on anymore, but I can honestly say I find the croc to be the most comfy and versatile shoe I have ever worn. I wear them on my bike, on the beach, around the house, with my jazz pants. I love them now. Okay, they are still ugly, but you forgive them a little, as they just love your feet!

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy your CROCS!

Summary: FORGIVE THEM AS THEY JUST LOVE YOUR FEET!

They may be comfy but I don't think I could ever bring myself to wear them..not even on the beach. Good review!
