I got a pair of these just the other week from TK Maxx. I do like to get Trainers from this shop as they are usually a good price and often look alright. The only problem with the shop is that is is very hit or miss. I go in the shop only a few times a year and if there is 2 or 3 pairs of shoes that I like then I tend to buy them as I nver know if or when there will be Trainers that I will like.
These cost me £16.99. According to the tag these were ex season, so perhaps in season a few months ago but I don't bother about anything about that. The rrp price for these according to the ticket was £35.99. Perhaps a little bit generous I would say as although I have heard of the brand, they aren't a large brand name like Adidas or that and you can get Trainers from them for around that price.
These Trainers look like the Dooyoo picture - funny enough. They are nice enough, but I suppose not overly pretty or girly or that. As you can see these are plain white in colour and near the back of the Trainer there is the DC branding in large lettering and a littlee sort of Graphiti design which looks alright. Perhaps would have been nice if there was different colouring on here and not just black against the white, but it looks nice enough.
I got these in a size 7 and they fit just fine. Perhaps a bit of a large size 7 in a way, but these fit fine on my feet and aren't too roomy or rub my heels or that.
I've wore these a few times in the house as I am saving them for my holidays but I think they will last long enough. the soles seem thick enough and i'm sure they will wear fine. The only thing is that the front part of these are not Mesh and just a smooth bit, so I can imagine that after wearing these for a while and pressing the pedals in the Car then you will end up with a slight crease over them, but this would be the same with any trainers that are made the same.
Good Trainers at a good price. If you see these in TK Maxx then I recommend these if you are looking for a new pair of Trainers.
We have a great shoe store in Hereford where we shop which sells all the latest fashionable brand named shoes and trainers, it's called T-reds and every now and then they have a sale to get rid of the old stock, as this is an expensive shop Ionly go in at the times of their sales as you can get shoes that were £85 down to £35 and I got these DC Shoes Pixie Scroll for £19.99 and they were down from £35.
I love wearing trainers as I have always liked them and find them comfortable on the feet these D.C 's were a brand that was introduced to me by my son who skateboards and wears them for competitions as they are flat on the bottom and comfortable to skate with.
You can get them in white or black and the design on the side is very trendy and stylish. The only thing that I don't like is the length of the shoe laces that come with them, for me they seen to be over long but my son and his friends just tuck them into the trainer somehow so it looks like they are undone.
Then they slip them on and off without tieing or untieing them. I have to cut the laces down as they annoy me but apart from that everything else about these trainers are great.
The sole is thick and a rubber material and has a good grip pattern on the bottom, in the wet you can see the pattern as you walk and they leave a pattern in the snow which i noticed when I was out in the bad weather last year.
They are waterproof too and wearing these in the snow didn't get my feet wet.
The uppers are a soft material that gives as you walk, at first they fit tightly to the feet but after wearing them for a few weeks they seem to mold to the shape of your foot and fit lovely.
They have a rounded toe not like the tennis trainers with a pointy toe, so the feet feel comfortable and not squashed, these are great for anyone who needs a wide fitting trainer as there is plenty of room for your feet. The stitching on them looks good too.
At first they feel chunky on the feet but the sole is bouncy and light and the part where your foot goes is nicely padded, I can see why the skaters wear them as they must feel comfortable when your jumping and landing from a height on the drop in on the skate ramps.
These would make good running shoes too as they are comfortable and fit nice and snug. I wear mine everyday and they are hard wearing and take the everyday usage of walking around the garden, driving in the car and all the other places I go during the day.
They don't make your feet sweat like other types of trainer and these have been in the washing machine wrapped in a towel so as not to bang around or lose their shape. They do however fade in time I have had mine over six months and although the tread is still good the colour of the black and blue pattern has faded on mine, but not anything to really bother me.
I will be buying these trainers again as I like the way they feel on my feet and they are a wide fit which is good for me. I would recommend them to you without hesitation.
I am a bit of shoe girl, I have loads of shoes, boots, trainers etc and it drives my partner mad with the amount I keep buying. One of my pairs of trainers is the DC Pixie Scroll Trainers.
I have this in white, black and silver. They do also come in a few other colour combinations, like black, blue and silver, but I bought the white ones as I didn't own a predominantly white pair of trainers. I had owned DC trainers before, and I found those to be sturdy, comfortable and long lasting, so I expected this pair to be of the same quality.
These trainers are mostly white, with white laces. They have a black DC logo printed on the top of the tongue. The back has a black and silver swirly pattern on it, and this pattern includes a few DC logos incorporated into it. This pattern is nothing major, so does not make the trainers look over done, but it is nice enough to draw the eye to it. There is a very think black line around the bottom of the trainers, which is very subtle, but adds a nice little bit of detail to the trainers.
I have found these trainers to be very comfortable, and they have a nice thick padding inside. Not just on the inner sole, but also around the sides of the foot and at the heel/ankle area. This makes them very comfortable, as well as ensuring there is no rubbing or soreness of the foot in any place. They feel quite snug on my feet, but not so snug that they feel tight.
The grip on the under sole is brilliant, and has saved me from falling on my face many a time. I wear these in the gym, and I have found them to be perfect for wearing whilst doing a workout. Even after a hard, sweaty workout where the sweat has poured off me, I have never found these trainers to be smelly. A bonus I think lol.
I have had these trainers over a couple of years now, and although you can see they are not new, you can see how great a condition they are still in. There is a couple of creases and marks on them through wear, but there is hardly anything and I would still say they look brilliant. They are still as comfy as the day I bought them, and I believe I have many years of wear left in these yet. They look great with jeans, trousers and shorts, so can be worn with a multitude of outfits and they go with almost any colour you could wear.
I bought my pair on Amazon.co.uk and you can stil get them on there now, when they have them in stock. I believe I paid £25 for mine, which I think is a total bargain for a great quality pair of trainers made by a well known shoe company. You can also buy these from Schuh or direct from DC but the price may vary as to where you buy them from.
I give these trainers a 5 out of 5 and I totally recommend them to any one who likes to wear trainers.
