      ~~~ Debut Satin Corsage Peep Toe Shoes ~~~
      I was browsing online at Debenhams recently during one of their many blue cross sale events, when suddenly I remembered I was in need of a pair of shoes to wear for my daughters graduation. Normally I'm a ballet shoe, or Birstenstock kind of girl and comfort is key; but as I was wearing a dress for the occasion, something I'd not done for at least ten years, I decided it had to be heels.
      The pair that caught my eye was Debut Satin Corsage Shoes, with a peep toe, and sling back fastening at a cost of £35. Rather than the neutral ivory shown above, I ordered them in classic black. I was debating upon what size to order as I'm usually a 6.5 depending on the store and whether they come in a wide fit or not. Ordering online, I obviously I couldn't actually try them on, so I went with the slightly larger size 7. I need not have worried because when they arrived they fit perfectly when I tightened the strap by just one hole.
      The rather lovely silver lining on these (gold on the ivory), is synthetic but feels quite soft and slightly padded for comfort. The buckle fastening as mentioned, means you get the perfect fit for your foot, and as I wore these for the whole day before and during the graduation, it was quite nice to loosen them afterwards just a fraction. I've since worn them on several occasions, and my feet have always felt comfortable and fresh all day/night long; with absolutely no pinching or rubbing from any rough edges. These are finished off beautifully.
      These are not a rounded toe but neither are they narrow and pointed. This makes for plenty of room for your toes. There is nothing worse than having your toes all bunch up and overlapping each other, but with these the fit is fine. So you can gauge the gap on the peep, you can see the first two toes on show, but only just, as the rather full and beautiful corsage detail sits slightly forward, and off centre.
      Not wearing heels for years, I was quite worried about the height of the heel, and how I was going to wear them all day long. At almost 4.5 inches (11 cm's) the heel is high and elegant, but it doesn't feel that high in wear, due to the 0.5 inch (1.5cm) platform. I was really pleased about this, as I hadn't noticed it in the photo on the site. I walked in them with ease; with none of that teetering that you see people with heels too high for them do.
      These are an extremely feminine, classic style of shoe, and will take you from day into evening on special occasions. The black satin looks both classic and elegant, and would go with any special outfit. Being the design that they are, I wouldn't wear them down Tesco's but they will certainly making another appearance very soon. I've got to get my money's worth out of that dress. ;)
      These have been shockingly comfortable to wear. I'm considering purchasing more shoes from the Debut range for ordinary day to day wear, and no-one is more surprised than me. Recommended.
