I like to leave a pair of Wellington boots at my childminders so if they ever decide to go out, her normal footwear doesn't get too muddy. This means, every year, I have to buy two pairs of boots, my daughter loves Minnie Mouse so when I saw these in Tesco's, I decided to buy them.
The boots retail from £12 - £13 depending on the size you buy, Lauren is quite tall for her age which means she has quite big feet, so I brought the biggest size they do, size 12 and these were £13. They are available in smaller sizes, from 7 I believe and are also available online. Like most wellies, I find these are little on the wide size, but if Lauren wears two pairs of socks, I find that they fit quite nicely and don't slip off when walking.
I find that the boots are quite wide fitting on the calf too, Lauren has quite thin legs (she must take after her dad) and these do give her that 'golf club' look, but I just think this makes her look even cuter than normal. The boots come just below the knees on her, but I don't find that they restrict her movement in any way and I like the fact that they are longer than others on the market as they keep her legs warmer and if the deep snow does come, at least more of her legs will be kept dry.
My wellies are slightly different to that in the image, they are vibrant red, with white polka dots all around. To the side, there is a large full length image of Minnie Mouse, with with different coloured stars and large pictures of Kitty's head dotted around. The sole is also bright red with a navy blue trim, it is really thick and the tread is about half an inch deep which I think is really good as it gives that extra slipping protection.
Although we have only had the boots around a month, she has worn them on lots of occasions and they are wearing really well, the colours are still as bright as when I first purchased (I have had to hose them down a couple of times from our walks in the woods) and there is hardly any wear so the heals (and Lauren does have a tendency to drag her feet, I seem to be forever telling her to pick her feet up!)
Overall, I would recommend these wellies, Lauren loves them, they look so cute and the price is reasonable therefore I would give these 5 out of 5 stars.
Thanks for reading.
My daughter's nursery recently requested that parents provide a pair of wellington boots for use at playtime so I set about on the lookout for a pair. I ideally wanted a very cheap pair as her feet seem to be growing at such a fast rate, but when I came across these on our latest trip to the Disney store I fell in love as did my daughter as she is obsessed with anything Minnie! At £12, they cost more than I wanted to pay but due to their look and practicality, I made the purchase. As far as I'm aware, they're exclusive to the Disney store.
The wellies are made of rubber. Ours are slightly different than the ones shown here, perhaps being a more up to date version. They are red with white spots throughout but instead of Minnie's face being at the side of each boot, her face is imprinted on the front section where the toes go. They have a dark blue rubber sole, dark blue rim around the top of each boot and a dark blue rubber hook on each boot too that I assumed is there for hanging up when not in use although Disney advertise this for being for carrying them around. That was the practical part for me - they're ideal for hanging on her peg at nursery ensuring that they don't end up being mixed up with another child's pair and I came across very few pairs that had anything like that on when I was looking around.
They are advertised as coming in sizes 12 months to 6 years, although ours are labelled as a size 4 rather than with an age and were the smallest size that the shop stocked at the time of purchase. My daughter is coming up to 18 months and size 4 is a perfect fit for her (with a bit of room to spare) so I'm not convinced that they would be suitable for a 12 month old - it would be worth checking the sizes first before buying.
These have been an excellent purchase so far. We've had a few weeks of rain now and my daughter has used these at home and at nursery quite a few times and they've been perfect as she's been walking in the rain and in puddles to stop her normal shoes getting ruined. No water has leaked in at all and they've fit their purpose. They have obviously ended up muddy at times but they've always been really easy to wipe clean with a cloth afterwards, with them being rubber and very smooth to the touch they always end up looking pristine again after a minute or two of wiping.
They have a very thick sole that has large grips on the bottom, which also makes me feel happier with her walking in the rain, especially as she's not been walking properly for very long. Even though she's not been walking for long she finds these easy to walk in too, although at first she did start to lift her feet up really high as she must have thought they felt really different to a normal pair of shoes! They have a wide opening at the top so they're not tight at all around her shins - if anything, this opening is perhaps a little too wide but it's never been an issue. On my daughter, they come to around halfway on her shins so they cover her feet and part of her legs amply.
I would recommend these wellingtons, but only if you feel that they'd be used a lot given that they have a large price tag in comparison to other non-branded ones. I feel that they were a good purchase for us but that's because my daughter has needed them a lot at nursery as well as at home. I've rated them 4 stars overall, taking one off for the high price tag.
Thanks for reading :o)
My daughter loves wearing wellies. She's got two pair at the moment, one for getting really mucky and some for a better pair. She received some Disney Minnie Mouse wellington boots for Christmas just gone.
These wellies are a little different from the ones in the picture. My daughters are all red with white hearts on the bottom half of the boots and Minnie Mouse's head on the top half. The detailing on this is fantastic and the head of Minnie Mouse looks exactly as it should and the bow is complete with white polka dots, around the side of the sole is some scroll writing, 'Minnie Mouse' with a heart.
The wellies are available to buy from Mothercare for £12. They are available in junior sizes 4-11. My daughter received a 6 at Christmas and is just growing out of them now although she is a 7 in most shoes now so these are quite roomy for the size.
My daughter loves these Minnie Mouse wellies as they feature two handles on each boot, these are located on either side. They help my daughter put her own wellies on independently without getting frustrated not being able to do it like she does with some other boots. Usually she stands up and holds onto something to keep her balance while trying to get her foot all of the way inside, but with these she can simply sit down and pull them on.
The wellies are made from a tough weather resistant rubber material. Despite getting quite mucky, these wellies are very easy to clean with a simple wipe over. I've cleaned these quite a lot, but are still in a fantastic condition with no signs of fading or wear and tear (on the main body of the wellies). The soles are very chunky with lots of grip on the bottom, this means that walking through slippery mud or water is easy for my daughter, she never complains of any discomfort so they are definitely doing something right.
Although these wellies are more expensive than supermarket wellies, I would definitely recommend these, mainly for the fact that they have handles, making it easy for my two year old daughter to put them on herself. The quality of the wellies is amazing and I think, if my daughters fit didn't grow anymore then they would stand the test of time.
My daughter is 3 years old and loves slashing around in the biggest puddles she can find, i decided it was time to get her some more wellies seen as the last pair was worn to bits but i couldnt find any that she liked. My mother in law brought her this pair for christmas and she loves them.
Because of the handles she can pull them on herself and she thinks she is so clever because she has done it. The big minnie mouse design on the side of the boots looks really nice and matches her coat from asda too (the same place the boots were from, although not sure on the price of boots because they were a gift).
The boots are very bright making sure your little girl stands out well. The white spots on the outside of the boots are a great contrast against the red background colour.
I love these boots because i havent really seen any with handles on them before, its helped my daughter loads with putting her boots on, something she did struggle with.
The inside of the boots feel soft and they havent caused any blisters or pains on my daughters feet, after shes been outside splashing her feet still feel very warm after being in them, something that i have had problems with wellingtons before. The quality of the boots is really nice.
I would recommend these for your little girl if she likes anything bright, colourful and disney. They are fun and comfy and well worth the money.
my eldest daughter who has just turned eight is at that aquard stage as far a character clothing goes as she claims to be too old for most of it now but she is still very much in love with mini mouse so when asda did a mini mouse range last winter she was over the moon and so was i.
as with all items i have ever brought from asda these are great quality at affordable prices as you dont want to be paying expensive for something used as little as wellingtons are, my daughters only use them in the snow.
These wellies appealed to my daughter streight away firstly because they were mini mouse but secondly because they were very bright and fun looking rather than a dull colour like most wellingtons.
she has not had any problems wearing these and they never rubbed her feet or anything as they have a soft cotton style liner although it is only thin it is more comfy than bear rubber on there feet. the soles have a decent tread on them which meant she didnt fall over quite as much on the ice as she would have in her ordinary school boots so that was an added bonus and they kept her feet nice and dry at the same time as being fun to wear.
i especialy like the loops on the top to pull them on with and had never seen this before on wellington boots but it is very useful.
i would recomend these to anyone with an aquard child to please like mine as they are very nice, shame they didnt do them in my size.
My little sister was just 7 when i got these for her, and for a 7 year old, she is very particular about what she wears, if it is dull or boring, no matter what the consequences she will not put them on, she would rather wear pink flower shoes and get her socks soaked than put on a pair of old boring green wellies, so putting them on her was a nightmare! This is why i decided to get her these when i stumbles across them in asda while food shopping. I thought being disney, i would have to pay more than they were really worth for them, but at just £7 i was amazed.
These were an instant hit, she loved them! these are perfect, they are very durable which is obviously a very important feature in children's shoes, they were like new even by the end of the winter (we handed them down to my little cousin who also loved them) and her socks stayed completely dry no matter how much rain seemed to fall, and no matter how big the puddles seemed to get. My mum was so please with her reaction to them she went to asda and brought them in a size up for the following winter, i could not possibly fault these, they are the perfect wellies for a little girl and at the brilliant price of just £7, every kid loves Disney, and these are just so cute! definitely worth buying, and if you look around on ebay or amazon you may even get an even better deal!
My daughter loves wellington boots. One of the reasons for her obsession is because she loves to jump in puddles and she knows she can only do this when she is wearing wellies! She has had a few pairs of different designed ones and one pair she acquired recently due to having outgrown her last pair were these Disney Minnie Mouse wellies which I purchased for her from ASDA for £7.00. I didn't think £7.00 was overly expensive given that the wellies are official Disney merchandise plus they are nicely designed. The wellies are available in a good range of sizes from size 4 to 12.
The Minnie Mouse wellies are brightly coloured in the usual Minnie Mouse red and white polka dot style which is easily recognisable and is what sent my daughter running towards the shoes department of ASDA like a woman who has just heard that Tiffany's has decided to have a sale! There are a vast amount of white polka dots and the occassional polka dot will actually be the silhouette of Minnie Mouse's head rather than being a normal polka dot. My daughter loves going over the wellies and pointing them out!
On the outer sides of the wellies there is an picture of Minnie Mouse herself, in a coy pose holding her hands to the side. It is one of the more icon Minnie Mouse poses I think. The picture of Minnie Mouse on the wellies is fairly large and takes up a large proportion of the side of each welly.
The wellies also have a black trim around them. There is black trim at the top of the wellie and then there is one running around the entire welly itself at the bottom. On this black trim there is swirly red writing which says "Minne Mouse" which is in the same font I have seen used on Disney Minnie Mouse shows time and time again. I think this attention to detail is really good as it makes the wellies very familar.
One of the things I really liked about these wellies is that at the top of each welly there are a set of handles to help you or your child pull them on. Wellies are known for being a little difficult to actually get on and my daughter is stubborn and likes to put her own on, despite difficulty sometimes. And when she cannot get them on herself she becomes very frustrated so these handles are a great idea and she has had no trouble getting these on by herself, rendering Mummy not needed :( The handles are made of a thickish red rubber, much like the rest of the wellies. They are fully attached to the wellies and do not come off.
Finishing off, the soles of the wellies are quite thick and are red in colour. They have a good grip and are great for making that all important splash as my daughter demonstrated to me a couple of weeks ago!
The inside of the wellies is made from a soft material which is beige in colour and it is the same sort of material you get in all wellies. My daughter says they are very warm and comfortable - and trust me if they weren't, my daughter would be more than vocal about it!
The wellies are made of a rubber, waterproof material which appears to be made of a high quality. The wellies look as though they will be long lasting (or as long lasting as a child's pair of wellies can possibly be). They performed well when we had a bout of wet weather a couple of weeks ago and they didn't let any water at all. The water just ran off of them.
I am really impressed with these wellies and the little handles just sold them to me really as I think it is a really good idea. The quality of the product is very good and I think they are reasonably priced too.
Now if you have read my previous reviews.... no doubt you will have spotted a bit of a theme! Good old Minnie Mouse! My little girl is mad over disney everything, especially the princess's, but i find the Minnie Mouse range so adorable i can't help but buy it!
I bought these of Ebay for £3.12 (very exact i know!) But they were in brand new condition, and having our little pony we go through countless pairs of wellies! (I did make the mistake of buying her Hunter wellies once... Never again! They were grown out of within a month!) So i thought i would have a little look on good old ebay!
They forst caught my eye because they have the typical Minnie Mouse "theme", they are red with white polka dots with a large Minnie Mouse motif on the side (My daughter loved striking the same pose that Minnie was in! very funny!) another good feature is that they have little handles on both sides of the wellies, making it easier for little hands to pull them on, even though generally they pull them on the wrong feet! Haha!
the quality of the wellies is very good. They were used daily in my household when we went up to see marmite (The pony!) And unlike other cheap wellies i have bought did not split or leak, My drama queen certainly lets me know when she has soggy feet!
Comfort wise, i can only go with little ones opinion, so here it is! " I like these wellies because they go well with my swimming costume and on the beach"...... Not so sure abouth that mini review from her but its certainly not a struggle getting her to put them on!
Overall lovely pair of wellies, Try and have a scout around on Ebay for a bargain pair!
I was struggling with Christmas presents last year. It is always hard to chose for my niece and nephew. They have so much stuff. I was browsing round Asda's clothes department when I came across these. I wasn't even looking for their presents at the time, I have to confess I was actually looking for myself, but the design on these really jumped out on me.
Disney Minnie Mouse Wellington Boots cost £7 from Asda. If they have a clothes range they will be found there, but if not Asda have opened a clothes shop online now also. They come in a wide variety of sizes, but the good thing about wellys is that you can get away with not necessarily buying the perfect size, as you can bulk them out with a couple of pairs of thick socks in the cold winter months.
The boots have such a lovely design. They are red with white polka dots all over them. The soles are brown, and there is a gorgeous picture of Minnie posing on the outer side. The great thing about these wellys is that they have handles on the sides so the little ones can pull them on and off themselves, which encourages independence. Also if they are worn by a child of school age, they can wear them to school and then take them off themselves to change into their school shoes, and change back at play time etc, without needing help.
The wellys aren't exactly soft inside, they are not fleece lined or anything, but I quizzed my niece about how comfy they were and she seemed very happy in them. I know she would moan if they were uncomfy, even if they were pretty! Her feet showed no signs of redness or aches after a whole day wearing them. Also after a couple of months of wear the soles had hardly any damage and the outsides were clean. This is because the boots are wipe clean and built of a very hardy material. They are such great value for money.
The great thing about these boots is that you can wear them in the summer too, as they do not look too wintery. We all know that we get tons of rain in England even in the summer. These looked great on my niece with a cute summer dress when she was puddle jumping last summer.
An all season round bargain!
Winter is quickly approaching and in scotland the weathers usually dreadful anyway, This week it has been raining quite heavy where i live. My daughter started school this summer and i had bought her school shoes and she came home with her socks wet due to the heavy rain. I decided to buy her wellies instead of a pair of boots i opted for wellies for winter as they would be easy for her to put on herself at school.
I looked online but could not find wellies i liked and found alot to be over priced. I went to asda for the weekly food shop and like a look at the kids clothing when i am there.
I came across the minnie mouse wellies, they cost £7.00 which i felt was a great price and they look very cute. Asda only sells them in their larger shops or you can buy them online but will be charged for delivery.
The boots are red in colour with white spots all over them, They have a thick black rim at the bottom of boots and a thinner rim at the top of boots. Each boot has the classic Minnie Mouse character on the outer side. The wellies also have rubber handles on each boot so they can be pulled on without much effort.
I like the pull on handle feature, My daughter can put them on herself, and the boot have plenty of room to tuck in her trousers to save them getting wet. The boots have very good grips on them which will be safe for when the snow comes. The design of the boots are very cute and my daughter loves them. She says they are very comfortable to ware and are great for jumping in puddles.
The rubber seems to be durable and strong, i am sure they will last her through winter to spring time as they are well made. Asda has a great disney range and is half the price that you would pay at the disney store.
I would buy these boots again and my daughter is delighted with them the price was excellent and i give top marks to asda.
Due to the "lovely" weather we had recently been having, I realised my daughter was in quite desperate need of a pair of wellington boots but I hadn't seen any that I liked and that would also co-ordinate with her coats (I do like things to match!). One afternoon in one of the larger Asda stores I saw a pair of Minnie Mouse wellies on the shelf and knew that I had to buy them!
Wellington boots are also known as rubber boots, gumboots, muckboots, topboots and even rainboots but of course most people refer to them as wellies. Initially wellington boots were made out of leather, and now are made out of rubber.
Wellies are an essential item of footwear for the wet and wintry months and there is now a huge range of wellies available, from the standard black or green wellies that everyone used to wear (that make you look like a farmer!!) to the funky stripey, spotty or even cow print design!
The Minnie Mouse wellies are a striking design, they are red with white spots dotted all over, as well as the familiar silouhette of Mickey Mouse ears (also in white). On the outside of the boot there is a large picture of Minnie Mouse in her standard red spotty dress, red shoes and a large red bow on her head. The base of the wellies have a thick black rim with the name Minnie Mouse running through, and the top has a plain black rim. To help the child put on the wellies there is a thick strap at the top at either side of the boot and this helps them to simply pull on the boot with a good grip of the straps. The soles of the wellies are a thick red rubber and have good sized grips so I think they will be great in the snow.
The wellies come up to just above my daughters calves which is a decent height and it means she can jump and splash in puddles without getting her clothes wet - although she does manage to drench me in the process!! My daughter loves wearing the wellies and says they are very comfy, so much so that she wants to wear them pretty much every day, even when its sunny! I love the design of the wellies, they match my daughters coat so much - she has a red coat with white spots so it couldn't be better suited really.
The price of the wellies is £7.00, which is a reasonable price to pay for a good quality boot. I would say the boots appear to be durable but of course we haven't had the snow as yet so that will test them out somewhat more! All in all I would say these wellies are a great buy and would recommend them to anyone looking for some cute wellies!
I give these cute wellies five out of five Dooyoo stars!
Thank you for reading my review :)
