      A nice pair of shoe boots with stud detailing

      Despite my ever growing shoe collection I can always find room for another pair. However, I will always find an excuse for needing another pair much to my other half's dismay. A few months ago I was wanting a nice pair of shoe boots which weren't overly high as I found all my wonderful pairs had a heel of at least 4 inches and didn't have anything at a more sensible height (well sensible for me anyway).

      My usual brands of choice only had skyscraper heels on their shoe boots so I decided to have a look in the usual high street stores and came across a pair in Dorothy Perkins which are called the Dorothy Perkins Stud Shoe Boots. I tried them on in store and ended up eventually buying them online where I was able to take advantage of an offer at the time. They are however a sale item and currently out of stock on the website.

      == The Boots ==

      They are classed as a shoe boot and to look at you could probably get away with them for day wear but I personally only wear them on an evening. They are made from a synthetic material which has a lovely sheen on the outside in an almost snakeskin type pattern and it is incredibly soft to the touch. On the inside of the shoes it has more of a thin PV type material which is black in colour. The boots do only come in black. The have black side zips on the inside of the shoe boots which are quite discreet.

      The key design feature to the boots is the dark silver studs around the back of the heel which just adds a touch of interest but without going over the top and of course studs are incredibly fashionable at the moment and these studs compared to a lot available are a bit more subtle. They look as if they have been glued on but I am careful when wearing them simply because I don't want them coming away from the fabric of the shoe.

      The heels are just around 2 inches which I do class as quite a sensible height and they don't look or feel that high when out wearing them. They are a stiletto heel which will require re-heeling far more quickly than say a wedge or block heel because of the surface wear. The sole is quite thin on these boots which I find a bit too thin when out walking in them and the insole doesn't have much padding in for comfort so they can feel a little uncomfortable.

      == Wearing Them ==

      I've worn my shoe boots quite a few times now as I do find them a handy pair to wear because of the heel height and although I love my incredibly high heels it is nice to wear something a little lower in height. I do find that the boots are quite comfortable to wear right from the moment they first come out of the box and onto your feet because the outer shell of the material is quite soft and it isn't rigid so able to bend with your foot movements.

      I find the sizings quite odd with these as although I tried on a size 6 I felt that these were a little too big and opted for a size 5 which was then just a little tight although they have given a little I could have done with a half size but this is not a fault with the shoes. However, because they were a little tight I found that the inside of the shoe where the side zips are I found that they dug into my foot a little which did initially cause a little irritation.

      On the whole I do find that these shoe boots now being worn in quite comfortable, my feet don't ache and they don't rub my feet so that is a definite bonus but my main gripe is that I don't like how thin the sole is and I know they are meant to have a thin sole but in that case I would have preferred a bit more padding on the inside of the shoe for the soles of my feet. However, this hasn't put me off wearing them!

      == Overall ==

      The shoe boots are a lovely pair of boots which won't break the bank should you be able to pick them up in the sale and I think they were reduced from £38.00 to £25.00 so a nice bargain. They are incredibly well made and look more expensive than the price tag which is of course quite nice. They are comfortable enough to wear for a good few hours and they quite a decent height which is comfortable to walk in.

      A definite recommendation if you can find a pair as I do think they are a nice addition to glam up an outfit even just going to the pub for a few drinks on an evening. Because of the sole issues I can only give them 4 stars.
