“ Brand: Dorothy / Type: Ankle Boots „
When I suggested these boots I did include a link to a photograph but unfortunately it is not shown here. However I will include details on where to find a photograph later in the review.
Just as some women love buying shoes, I love buying boots and have to restrain myself from doing so when browsing online or out shopping. It was my birthday recently however and I bought these boots from Dorothy Perkins with a gift voucher I received as a present.
Most of the boots I own are black in colour and I had been fancying a grey pair for a while. So when I spotted these grey buckle ankle boots, they were just the kind of boots I had in mind.
These boots are a medium grey shade and whilst they are not leather, they are well made and good quality. They have a slight shine to them and have a ruched effect from the ankles to the tops of the boots. Two decorative buckles fasten around the boots: one at the outer ankle and another around the top of the boot.
The boots don't have a zip but they slide easily onto my feet and over my ankle.
I find ankle boots are great to wear with jeans and look stylish. I also prefer boots with a heel as I find it difficult to walk for long periods in flats as the backs of my legs begin to hurt. However, I am not saying I can walk in exceptionally high heels either. My preference is a mid heel type of 2-3 inches and that is exactly what these are, at about 3 inches high. They are a not a thin stiletto-type heel either, which makes them quite comfortable and easy to walk in.
I should mention that these boots also come with spare rubber heel tips.
When I first tried these boots on, they felt really comfortable with a slightly rounded toe for extra comfort, ensuring your toes are not pinched at all. I have small feet (size 4) and don't usually have any problems with width, but I have found some boots can be quite narrow fitting and pinch your feet. These seem to be a generous width and I have been wearing them a few weeks now without them causing me any discomfort at all.
The boots cost £40 from Dorothy Perkins, which may seem a llittle expensive given that they are not leather, but they look nice, are good quality and are comfortable. They are also available in black.
It is worth mentioning that if you buy online direct from the Dorothy Perkins website you can obtain cashback on all your purchases if you make your purchase via the cashback site 'Topcashback.co.uk'.
It is also worth checking sites such as HotUkDeals for voucher codes for Dorothy Perkins and also the Dorothy Perkins website itself has regular offers and money off promotions.
Although I bought these boots in store on this occasion, I have ordered from Dorothy Perkins online many times without any problems and delivery is always quick.
You can view these 'grey buckle ankle boots' on the Dorothy Perkins website: www.dorothyperkins.com. Simply select the 'boots' tab and these boots are currently showing on the 6th page. The item number is 54000396.
These boots look lovely when worn as both casual and formal wear. I personally think they look great when worn with jeans, teamed with a grey bag and scarf and I am very pleased with my purchase.
