“ Brand: Dorothy Perkins / Type: Boots „
I got these slippers in the january sale as they were reduced from £12 to £4 instore at Dorothy Perkins. I was pleased with this purchase as due to the high quality of dorothy perkins products i knew they weren't cheapo boots that would last for 2 minutes.
Upon buying them i wasn't actually aware they were slippers (they were amongst the other boots/heels/shoes etc), and initially asumed they were ugg-like copies as alot of shops have there own cheaper take on ugg boots. Also, because of the thick sole, they do look like boots for everyday wear. Upon looking at my receipt though i did realise they were slippers, so although i was slightly disapointed i was still pleased with the price i paid.
The shoes have got slightly odd sizing options; S, M and L. I got an M which fits me fine but is a tiny bit on the big side and i'm a size 5 and a half on both feet. This doesn't effect me though as obviously i wear them just around the house so i don't worry about looking silly/walking a bit weird as they're a bit too big!
As far as i'm aware these are only available in one colour; dark chocolate brown. I really like it and it's a cosey, soft colour and very versatile with different outfits (mainly pj's though!) i've worn the boots with leggings a few times just to nip to the corner shop and i didn't get any weird looks. Because of the rubbery sole the boots didn't get dirty on the bottom and i was able to walk like i would in trainers minus the grip. This was fine on pavement but in winter (these boots are wintery looking), i'd dread to think how they'd cope with ice and snow! So definetly more for home use. I have wooden flooring and although i feel like i'm going to slip at times, i never have (but have come very close!)
The sole is definetly a let down as if it gripped i'd feel more comfortable.
The boots/slippers are amazingly comfy and soft, they're a soft suede-like material for the body of the shoe and the cuffs around the top are a beautiful soft faux fur which, like the boot is brown. On the side of the boots are 2 little pom poms which are made out of faux fur (acrylic), and they add a really cute and feminine look to the boots. Obviously they're not manly in the first place but they just add that extra girly touch.
Inside the boots is a thin layer of fluffy faux fur which is lovely and soft and warm, really cosey and ideal for relaxing in after a long, hard day.
Keeping the boots clean is easy as i only use them (99% of the time) indoors, however the 2 occasions i have used them out of the house they kept clean and didn't attract dirt. They can't be washed as far as i'm aware.
I've had my boots for 6 months now and they've lasted well apart from the faux fur on the top of the boot has lost its body (shape) and it's quite flat now, but still looks great and it's not fallen out. The pom poms are also still in one piece.
Overall they're very trendy boots however as mentioned before the sole is a let down due to having no grip to it at all, so i'd reccomend only buying them if you have carpeted floors. For the price i paid i am happy with them due to the high quality of the material, but wouldn't buy another pair at full price.
I am a slipper person and I have always worn slippers around the house for years! As soon as I get home I take off my shoes and put my slippers straight on, I cannot bear walking around the house in shoes as they are nowhere near as comfy as slippers. I also don't like walking around in bare feet as I tend to have very cold feet all of the time and so slippers will keep them warm right until I get into bed.
I had a pair of slippers similar to these that I got two Christmas' ago as a present. They were grey with pom poms on and fur inside, just like these in the picture. They lasted me a whole year when I then got these brown ones the Christmas just gone, again as a present.
I love slipper boots as they keep all of my feet and ankles very warm and cosy, and the fur inside of them are very soft so feel nice on the skin. However, I feel the best thing about these is that they cannot slip off your feet easily, like normal slippers can. I also have a pair of panda slippers that I recently reviewed and I stated I have to be careful when going up the stairs etc. as they can easily slide off, and after wearing into them they stretch and become more loose on your feet. These slipper boots do not do that and are always tightly on your feet so you do not need to worry about them easily coming off.
The pom poms are not annoying, as some people might wonder, because they are not that loose that they are swinging about whilst you are walking, instead they stay in place and look nice. On my old pair the pom poms were a lot looser and my cat even started playing with them once! That could be dangerous but these ones do not dangle that much.
These do remind me of my ugg boots, because of the fur inside and the fact that they are boots. However, they are much lighter than ugg boots, obviously because these are worn indoors. I have had these since Christmas and wear them almost everyday, and they still look new. My old pair lasted a year then I finally got rid of them when I got these, so I am hoping that these last just as long, but I am sure they will.
Slipper boots are now my favourite kind of slippers and I definitely recommend them as opposed to the usual kind of slippers. These were available from Dorothy Perkins around Christmas time but I am not sure how much they cost exactly as I received them as a gift. I cannot find them on their website any more but I am sure they will be available again for next Christmas as they make a lovely present. I have them in the Chocolate brown colour but they usually have other colours available. I hope I get some again next year!
I absolutely love this style of slippers which is sort of an extension of the national craze for Ugg boots but specifically tailored for the indoor slouching around market. I had read the reviews of these Dorothy Perkins pom pom slippers on here and was absolutely delighted when I found a pair in the recent sale reduced to £6. I believe the full price was around double this so they already felt like a bargain.
I bought the 'medium' size which is intended for a size 5-6 and they fit my size 6 feet very well although they do seem to have an awful lot of give in them, I have only been wearing these for about a month and they have gone from being a quite snug fit to a quite baggy fit.
I like the colour of these, which is a rich chocolate brown and the pom pom style (which seems to be everywhere at the moment) is bang on trend and quite eye catching. The faux fur on the outside is soft to touch and the feel when they are on your feet is akin to having a small piece of duvet wrapped around each of your feet - pure bliss.
Although I do love these slippers, they do not seem to be particularly well made and one of mine has started to separate from the sole at one corner already (although they do get a lot of wear). Then again, what can you expect for less than a tenner.
The turned down tops make these feel like proper ankle warmers and they do not fall down around your feet when they are on (which a very similar pair from Tu at Sainsburys did within a week) so overall I think they are a pretty good buy. The grip on the bottom is basic but then you would not wear these outside anyway (would you!?).
Comfy, trendy and warm, you cannot go far wrong with a pair of these.
I seem to have been inundated with pairs of slippers for the past few months, what with buying myself a few pairs here and there in sales, plus with several pairs being bought for me for Christmas. I've actually got enough warm and comfy slippers that I've currently put several pairs away until my current ones are worn out. One of the pairs which I tested, but then decided to keep until later are these Pom Pom Boot Slippers from Dorothy Perkins. I have the chocolate brown coloured versions pictured above, but I also saw these in a cream colour. I have a medium pair, which suit my size 5-6 feet well. There are also available in small and large sizes.
The reason I like these slipper boots is that they are not only functional slippers, but they also look and feel very nice too. The boots are lovely and soft on the outside, with a velvety suede feel to them that's rustic, homely and very nice to the touch. Inside the boot, there is a soft brown fake fur liking, which makes the boots very comfortable to wear and feels nice and soft. The fur also helps to make these slipper boots much warmer than normal slippers, which is very welcome on cold evenings. On the outside of the boots there's a folded over furry 'cuff' as well as two fake fur pom poms dangling from the top of the boot, which is a cute and trendy look. I really like the appearance of these slippers overall. Depending on how cold it is, and personal preference, you can wear these with the cuff up or folded over.
The only real downside to these slippers is that they are slippy! The sole of these slippers has no grip on it meaning that the smooth sole's surface very easily slips on smooth surfaces, including wooden floors, tiles and lino. I've nearly gone flying a few times in these, which is why I used a knife to score a few lines along the base of the sole, just to make it grip a little better and create a bit more friction.
My pair were a gift, but I've seen these in the shops previously selling for around £12, which isn't bad I don't think for such a nice looking shoe. I gave these a thorough testing and liked them very much aside from a few flaws, so once my current slippers are worn out, these will be having another airing!
I have lusted after these slipper boots after seeing them on here a few months ago, so i was debating whether to treat myself to a pair. I usually buy cheap slippers, which start to look tatty or even worse develop a hole, so i am never entirely happy with the pair i have. Mum said she would buy these for me for christmas, so i was over the moon.
I went into a dorothy perkins branch and found that they only had the small size (shoe sizes 3 and 4) which were no good for my size 7 feet. I had to come home and order online, so it took about a week before they arrived. I was originally meant to give them to my mum to wrap, but once the snow we have had in Yorshire was forecast, i asked her if i could have them early. Boy i am so glad i did.
On first slipping on a large pair of these slippers, my feet instantly felt really snug and warm. It felt so luxurious. I am the sort of person who if my feet get cold then i feel completely cold and miserable, and if this happens at bedtime then i am unable to sleep till my feet thaw out. With normal slippers, i find my feet still feel cold as a draft wafts round my ankles. With these, there is no gap between my slippers and trousers so toastiness can be maintained.
At first i felt a bit constricted in the slippers. My feet felt as though they were a little too tight, but i think they have now stretched a little and they are the most comfy footwear ever. The furry lining is really soft, and i like the fact that they are a dark colour and washable with a cloth as i feel they will last a good deal longer than a cheap pair.
I also really like the non slip bottoms. I found some similar type slipper boots in primark and they just had a soft bottom and that is something i think is a big no-no. They would end up with a big hole within weeks for me chasing round after the kids.
The only feature i worried about was the pom poms. I thought my two cats would have an absolute field day chasing me round and tearing at them, but luckily they have not even noticed them.
I picked these up for £11.20 a few weeks ago. Dorothy Perkins appear to be doing a lot of sales at the moment to attract customers. I had an email to offer 30% off earlier today. At this price i can't help feeling they are an absolute bargain. They are one of my wisest purchase this year. I am certainly glad i have not had to endure 3 feet of snow outside my house in other slippers.
My husband is also pleased as i always warm my cold feet up on him in bed, and i haven't had to do that. I'm also dropping off to sleep quicker. Happiness all round.
I Was brought these slippers as a present last Christmas and to be honest slippers are not my type of thing. I loved my totes sox and so my partner thought I may enjoy these so rather than hurt his feelings I gave them a go.The slippers themselves look more like a pair of boots to me. They are a lovely shade of chocolate brown with two pom pom hanging from the slipper. The style reminds me of a longer pair of boots that I own maybe why my partner chose them for me as a safe option.
When putting them on I noticed the material was very soft and comfortable for my feet and felt so snug and warm I was sure they would be a hit. After getting up and walking around they were comfy but the sole of the slipper seemed so very thin not that this would be a problem as I was only walking around the house. For the first few weeks they seemed fine but when walking in the bathroom or kitchen it is as if I was just walking on the tiles it was a little cold on the sole of my feet where as the rest were nice and cosy.
These were ok slippers but that was it. I now have a few pairs of slippers as my sox slippers converted me to a new way of keeping my feet warm rather than just wearing normal socks and these are not one I wear often. I tend to use these if they are the closest and that is it. They are warm and snug but to me they feel poor quality and the sole of them are just to thin maybe if it was a little thicker they would be much better.
I have had a look on the website and I see they retail at £14 to me that is a silly price there is no way I would pay that I would expect them to be £5 at the most from the value. I have size small and my feet are size 4 and they do fit perfect which is a good thing cause usually one size fits all or limited sizing is a major problem for me.
I decided at the beginning of last winter that I wanted a pair of slipper boots. It wasn't because I didn't have enough slippers (trust me I do, I am a bit of a slipper collector, they just never seem to wear out!) I just decided that the boots type pairs look cool. I decided to put some on my Christmas list and my Mum chose them from Dorothy Perkins. She chose me a cream pair in medium (they come in small, medium and large) which fitted my size 4-5 feet.
The boots have a soft touch to the outside, a cross between soft touch velvet and a fake very good quality suede. The type of material that looks really different (darker or lighter) depending on how it is brushed! The inside is a very soft faux fur, which is lovely to the touch and feels so soft and comfy on your bare feet, as well as keeping them warm. They have two faux fur pom poms on the outside for decoration purposes.
The boots can be worn folded up or folded over and down. That doesn't make a hug difference to the warmth or feel so is just down to personal taste.
The sole is very soft and smooth with no grip which is incredibly impractical, so be careful of slippy surfaces. On the plus side with safety though they are much easier to walk up the stairs in without losing your step and slipper and falling over. That has happened to me with flippy slippers!
Another recommendation I have is to wash them after buying and before wearing, as I ending up shedding a bit of fluff which was a pain to hoover up.
The slippers are really warm and comfy, I love them for round the house in the bleak winter. The only other downside I can think of is the price, as they were over £10 and I have seen similar pairs in New Look for less.
I have never been a fan of slippers and much prefer to walk around the house barefoot in the warmer months and when it gets colder, I will wear socks. The only time I have worn slippers that I can remember, is when I was in hospital after giving birth to my daughters, which was quite a few years ago now!
However, my daughters have always liked slippers and slipper socks and when browsing the shops last Christmas I came across some slipper boots in Dorothy Perkins. I thought they looked really cute and bought some for my daughter who loved them. They were very similar to these in the photograph and have lasted well, still going strong nearly a year later.
So a few weeks ago, I spotted these chocolate brown pom pom slipper boots when browsing Dorothy Perkins website and decided I would buy some, but this time for me!
I love wearing boots and own quite a few pairs, so this may be why I was attracted to these despite my dislike of slippers, as they are a bit different from your usual slipper designs. I have also found myself admiring my daughter's slipper boots over the last year, which was another factor in my decision to buy these.
These particular slipper boots are only available in this chocolate brown colour, but Dorothy Perkins do have other styles of slipper boots available both instore and on their website: www.DorothyPerkins.co.uk
These slipper boots feel really soft and are a furry brown faux suede on the top, but are fur lined and the tops turn over and two furry pom poms hang down the sides. The soles are not what I would call hard wearing, but are more than suitable for wearing around the house. If you were to go outside in them then they may not last long. My daughter has only worn the pair I bought her last year in the house and the soles are still fine and intact.
These feel so comfortable when you slip them on and the fur keeps your feet warm. The sizes are small, medium and large. I have size 4 feet and bought the small size and they fit my feet comfortably with room to spare, though the fact they are a boot means they don't slip off, so it doesn't matter if they are a little on the large side. Medium is for size 5-6 and Large is for size 7-8.
I have been wearing mine a lot since buying them and I am really pleased with them. I have no reason to doubt the quality and I think they will last as long as my daughter's have. Priced at just £14 I think they are a bargain and an ideal Christmas present.
You can also wash these slipper boots in the washing machine on a synthetics cycle.
It is worth mentioning that if you buy these online from the Dorothy Perkins website as I did, that you can obtain cashback on all your purchases from Dorothy Perkins if you make your purchase via the cashback site 'Topcashback'.
It is also worth checking sites such as HotUkDeals for voucher codes for Dorothy Perkins and also the Dorothy Perkins website itself has regular offers such as 10% off, free delivery etc. They also offer 10% for NHS employees or 20% student discount, so it is definitely worth checking the website throughly and also cashback sites etc before making purchases online.
I have ordered from Dorothy Perkins online many times without any problems and delivery is always quick.
Overall, I love my slipper boots and won't hesitate to buy some more in the future both for myself and also to give as gifts. Even if you are like me and don't care much for slippers, you may find you will fall in love with these.
Dorothy Perkins Pom Pom Boot Slippers
I love slipper boots. I don't like to wear shoes around the house and one of the first things I do when I get back home or just wake up is put on a nice cosy pair of slippers. Especially in the colder months I always get cold feet and it doesn't help that we have a stone tile floor in the kitchen, so a nice pair of slippers in a necessity to me.
When I saw these slipper boots in Dorothy Perkins, one of the first things that attracted me to them was how warm and cosy they looked. The material feels soft and quite thick to the touch.
I don't think that they are available in any colour other than the dark chocolate brown. However, it was a dark colour I was after. I previously had a light pink pair that were nice, but having a little puppy in the house means that I am constantly chasing after him and cleaning up after him. He somehow managed to make the lighter slippers look dirty almost instantaneously. This dark chocolate colour is perfect because they don't show every small speck of dirt. If he steps on them with dirty paws then I don't notice it quite so quickly.
I have washed these a few times in the washing machine and they have always dried out looking pretty much the same as when they went in.
They are quite short boots rather than higher boots. They don't come up much more past my ankles, which is fine but for those colder days I do have a longer pair that I favour.
Each of the boots does have a couple of pom poms dangling, which with a small puppy in the house meant that I preferred to cut these off. They were nice but e every time I walked past him he thought that they looked like tempting toys. The slippers still look as nice even with these pom pom bits removed.
So far the sole has been hard wearing, but then I only use these in my house, occasionally stepping out doors to check on the puppy. I haven't noticed any abnormal wear and tear apart from what I would expect as I do wear these quite a lot.
These are available from £14 and I have been pleased with mine. The only thing I would say about the price is that it is probably on the expensive side considering the great array of slippers that Asda or Tesco sale for a cheaper price for a similar quality item.
I have the medium size, which fits me fine and I am a size 6. It is also available in small and large, I believe a rough guideline to the sizes is, small 3-4, medium 5 -6 and large 7 -8. I have noticed that the slippers have probably stretched and lost a bit of their shape with time and use.
I like these slippers and they have kept my feet toasty warm as the weather gets cooler. These slippers are more suited to the winter months or colder summer days as they are quite thick and cosy. Overall, these slippers might have been a tad expensive but I have been pleased with them and I think that they deserve a well earned four out of five stars.
Product: Pom Pom Boots Slippers
Material: 100% Textile
From: Dorothy Perkins
As we're quickly approaching the winter months and the colder weather as already started making an appearance, I thought it would be wise to invest in some cosy slippers to keep my tootsies warm.
Whilst browsing online at some of my favourite highstreet websites I finally decided on the Chocolate Pom Pom Boots Slippers from Dorothy Perkins for £14.00 which I felt was quite reasonable, not too expensive but not too cheap either. I instantly loved the style of the boot.
The slipper boots are a lovely deep rich chocolate colour, they have two Pom Poms at the side of the boots hence the title name of the slippers. The boots have a really soft touch to them, soft and fleecy inside and well padded on the outside, the sole of the slipper is quite thin but as I only wear these indoors i'm sure this won't be a problem for me.
You can buy the boots in 3 different sizes, Small: (Sizes 3-5), Medium: (Sizes 5-6) and Large (Sizes 7-8), I opted for the size Small as i'm a size 4 and these fitted me perfectly.
Apparently the slippers are machine washable, i can't comment on how well they wash as i haven't put them in the washing machine as yet.
I love the look of my new slippers, they're warm, cosy and the perfect slippers for me. I wear mine without socks and my feet are well cushioned and snuggled.
The only negative point I can make about the slippers are that they can become quite slippery on some surfaces, (i.e. my wooden floor), maybe this is due to the thin sole of the boot so please make sure you take extra care whilst walking on any slippery surfaces.
My rating: 4/5.
The one thing I cannot stand about winter is having cold feet and even though I already own LOADS of slipper boots that doesnt stop me buying a new pair pretty much every time the weather gets a little bit colder. This time it happened to be these "Dorothy Perkins Pom Pom Boot Slippers" which Id had my eye on for quite some time because they just looked so damn warm and cosy. I dont shop in Dotty P's loads but anything I have ever bought from there has been really long lasting and been really high quality so I just assumed these slippers would be to the same high standard as the rest of their products. I think I might have been wrong - Ive only had these for about a month and they are already falling apart - I wouldnt mind but I havent worn them that much!
Stockists: Dorothy Perkins & dorothyperkins.com
Other Info: Come in sizes: Small, Medium & Large. ONLY available in chocolate brown & they are machine washable - well supposedly anyway.
Theres no doubt in my mind that these slipper do look really nice and cosy. Some people might not like the fact they only come in one colour but I really like the chocolate brown shade so that wasnt a problem for me. They are made out of a suede type material on the outside, with furry pom-poms attached to the outside and the inside is lined with the same furry material. Even when they arent folded down these only go about half way up my leg but that annoys me so I have to wear them slightly folded down but personally I think they look better that way and they feel so much comfier.
The sole on these is basically none existent but as your only going to be wearing them around the house I dont think that matters too much. Now appearance wise yes they are great but its everything else I have problems with! Starting with the sizing. Small, medium and large really does leave a lot of guessing as what might mean a small foot to some might not to others and even if you try them on quickly in the shop like I did you wont be able to tell trust me. I got the Medium size as I am a size 5-6 normally and although it did feel quite fitted in the shop trying to walk in them is pretty impossible. They feel like flippers and I feel like Im going to fall over if Im walking around the house in them so Im constantly worrying Im going to fall on my bum! But other than that they are quite comfy!
And secondly they are pretty shoddy quality. The pom-poms fell off after 2 days of me owning them - not for any reason they just fell off much to the joy of my dog who tried to claim them for a toy straight away. And when I washed them the inside went really funny and the furry lining wasnt so cosy and comfy anymore even though I washed them exactly as the instructions suggested.
I think Im going to bin my pair after finishing this review because really they have been a waste of 14 quid that I could have spent elsewhere. They were comfy for a bit but in this case I reckon its style and appearance over anything else which is a shame because they do look very nice. Dont waste your cash!
Style over substance. Thanks For Reading.

After going to write about these I see that xxfoxyredxx has just written about them as well. great minds think alike, and if you haven't read her work then check her out as her reviews are great! Anyway back to the product.
My mum bought me these not that long ago. I like nice Cosy Socks, and Slipper things, but I don't actually wear proper Slippers. i like things like these, and have just ordered a pair quite similar from Avon, which are a bit cheaper than these ones. Then again I didn't buy these though.
These cost £14 from Dorothy Perkins. Perhaps a bit on the expensive side, but they are how the Dooyoo picture shows them, and they do look warm and the materials are soft and snuggly. I got the Large ones, which do sizes 7-8. Mum said they are available in sizes small and medium as well, so I guess they will each cover 2 Shoe sizes.
So onto the Boots. These have a rubber sole to them, but it doesn't seem that thick a sole. i wouldn't risk going out into the garden with these on even just onto the slabs, as I think these could wear through on hard surfaces. The inside is a thick Furry lining which is synthetic, and the outside is a Suede material. You can fold the top part up so it covers more of your Legs or do as the picture shows and have it folded down, which is how I have it. The Pom Pom part is purely decorational, and I suppose it livens the Boots up a bit. They don't get in the way or that even if you tuck your feet up under you while sitting on the Couch.
They are really nice and Cosy Boots, but aafter washing these once I felt that the shape has changed slightly and that the furry bits now seem a bit matted. Although they are still warm and comfy, they just don't seem how they were. They can be washed and I washed at the correct temperature, so it's not as if i've done anything wrong.
I think you can pick up better Boots for cheaper out there. the Avon ones are £8 and they look just as nice and cosy.
When it comes to slippers I really do own an awful lot of them! I buy them and tend to shove them in my wardrobe to then only go out and buy more and the same thing happens time and time again leaving me loads of slippers I don't know what to do with lol.
These I spotted costing £14.00 in Dorothy Perkins and they just felt sooooo soft to the touch and with a furry and rather thick lining I decided to be impulsive and treat myself. The only drawback with these in my opinion is there is only this chocolate brown colour to choose from (although it is nice enough to be fair and rather rich). They come in sizes s,m, l which I guess means that the small is a 3-4, the medium a 5-6 and a large is a 7-8. I chose the medium as I am a size 5 and find these a little too big but I can get them to stay on my feet so if your a 6 I would go for this size!
Well the boot is mainly a plush sort of soft suede material with a brown sort of rubbery sole that is rather thin. To the side of the boot there is a strip of soft and fluffy material to which two matching brown, fluffy pom poms are hanging from. The top of the boot can be folded to where you want it to sit on your leg though of course not too high up but you have 2-3 inches of material to play with and inside is completely furry and plush without being too thick.
These are very warm boot slippers and very comfortable to wear indeed. However they are ones to make sure you only wear around and about in the home as the soles are not really very thick and won't protect your feet too much. They are not waterproof thus can be washed at 40c and I have washed them a couple of times and the fur has got a bit clumped and matted looking especially within the boot and they no longer look as good as new though they haven't faded or anything or malted too badly.
I feel that although these are great winter warming slippers that they are not the best value for money there is though when first bought look really high quality they could just do with a thicker sole to protect the feet a bit more and wash up better!
Only available in Dorothy Perkins stores.
I like to slip off my shoes at the end of the day and slip into something more comfortable and my foot wear of choice would be my slippers of course! As with anything I like things to co-ordinate and match my mood at the same time, so I tend to have a small number of slippers on the go at any one time which I can wear with different things. As they get a bit grubby and care worn I can replace them one at a time in rotation, which means I always have something nice to wear.
My Dorothy Perkins Pom Pom Boot Slippers were something I just had to have, after a visit to a friends home who had a pair herself. I thought they looked so cute and comfy on and when I asked her if they were, she agreed they did a good job at keeping her feet warm and said they were almost as good as they looked. Recommendations like that from friends are generally a good indicator as to a product being good, so of course I decided to get myself a pair with mixed results.
My cute Pom Pom Boot Slippers are a cross between a very soft boot and a slipper really. I have to say that when I wear them my feet do sink into them rather nicely and they are fantastic to wear when cozying up on the sofa of an evening. They are warm and toasty enough to wear when sitting down without socks it wanted, but when walking around in them I think socks are a good option as you will see if you read on.
These are handy and functional to a point and they certainly look very cute too. The only real issue as such has been that I feel the sole of the boots is rather thin and although I find there is plenty of cushiony padding inside the furry boot, the outside of the sole is not as protective as I would like it to be by any means.
I was wearing these when unloading the dishwasher the other night and left the door open...again! (I will never learn ). Goodness knows why I forgot to close the door to it, but I bumped into the door again and then turned away quickly in a kind of 'ouch thats very painful' movement clutching my shin and some how managed to stub my toe on the corner of the fridge freezer.
Now to my mind that means my super yummy Dorothy Perkins Pom Pom Boot Slippers are not as sturdy in the toe and front sole area as they ought to be. If I was wearing my Clarks slippers I would have been fine as the sole of those are much better then the ones on the boots. Due to the toe stabbing incident, I do feel that these pom pom boots are best worn when sitting about and not pottering about and if attempting to potter I now wear them with socks. I still like them, but am more careful when wearing them.
Right now my Pom Pom Boot Slippers are still in good condition except for the fact that the soles have worn a bit and the inner fluffy bits have flattened to a certain extent. The exterior of my boot slippers still looks yummy and the pom poms have not come off.....yet! The top bit of my boots that can be folded as high or as low as I want, is still quite fluffy and soft and the suede effect outer material which is in a nice choccy colour has faired reasonably well.
I paid £14 for my Dorothy Perkins Pom Pom Boot Slippers and I feel thats a bit high as you can buy similar ones in Peacocks and other stores for less. I bought them on recommendation and I do have to agree that they are soft and warm and comfy when sat watching tv etc. The issue I have with them is that I don't feel the sole is protective enough. Although they do look lovely and keep my feet warm, they didn't offer any protection to my poor stubbed toe, so with everything taken into consideration these pom pom slippers get just 3 stars.
