Did I need these - no, Do I love these - yes

I absolutely did not need another pair of ballerina shoes, especially a pair at £55 from Dune, but when I spotted these little two tone patent ballerina pumps on the Dune website a few weeks ago I found myself adding them to my online basket.

I bought these from Dune online, and so I ordered 2 sizes to see which ones were the best fit. I ordered a size 5 which is my regular size, and a size 6. I own many pairs of shoes and boots from Dune and I would say that half of them are a size 5, and the other half I've had to go up to a size 6 as I do think that Dune shoes are quite slim fitting on the whole. These particular little ballerina pumps are actually fine in my regular size 5 - just.

These are available in two colours; the black which is pictured above, and is the colour that I bought, and then a nude colour which didn't look as half as nice as the black in the online pictures.

These are fab little ballerina pumps, they are basically a two tone effect, they have a black patent heel and toe and a cute black patent bow on the front of the shoes. The sides of the shoes are then a black suede material. The trim around the rim of the shoes is also in black patent. They are very well made, as are all Dune shoes I find, and they even have a slightly cushioned insole inside of the pumps. They are a flat ballerina pump, but the sole isn't completely flat. it's lifted slightly to give you more support as you walk, and this also means that you don't wear down the fabric on the heels of the shoes as you walk.

These look fantastic on, they can instantly glam up any outfit, and they are perfect for either day or evening wear. I've worn these with skinny jeans, leggings, shorts and opaque tights, short dresses or skirts and opaque tights, and they look fab with all of these. I've had loads of comments on these already, and they are fast becoming one of my favourite pairs of shoes.

These took a few wears to break in as they were a little tight at first, however the size 6 had definitely been too big. As they are a soft suede though they have given a little, and they have stretched enough to make them very comfortable. I can wear these all day and be on my feet all day in these with no discomfort whatsoever. They are much more comfortable and supportive under my feet than most ballerina pumps that I own as they have the cushioned insole and they have the much more substantial yet still very flexible sole on them. As they are part suede I haven't worn these out in the rain as I don't want to ruin them, I've purely worn these on dry days so far.

I'd definitely recommend these little ballerina pumps, yes they are very expensive, but I do find that the quality of Dune shoes are worth the extra that you pay for them.
