Dune Moren Casual Shoes
Advantages: So comfy, pretty, practical
Disadvantages: You can't wear them in the cold or rain ;)
I love shopping in Dune, though the high street shops are few and far between I am lucky enough to live near Manchester city centre and also there is a concession in Debenhams in the Trafford Centre, so as long as you can get to a city you should be able to get to Dune shoes - if not, their website is great.
I have a number of Dune shoes in fact I even wore a pair to my wedding, but for every day one pair I wear a lot is the Dune Moren in brown leather. They're a summer shoe though you could adapt them to colder weather with a pair of sheer or even black / brown tights, but generally I keep them for use in the summer due to their open weave. They're not something you can really wear in the rain or snow, obviously!
The Dune Morens are flat ballerina style shoes though they are a bit pointier at the toe than a standard ballerina. They have a 1/2 cm heel more for support than for height, I still class them as my flats, the pad over the heel basically just gives the shoes a bit of comfort and support and longevity also as there is less wear to them. The upper (apart from the back of the heel which is closed) is a lovely woven leather in a caramel brown colour.
The shoes are very attractive, sometimes it can be hard to find nice looking flats, but these look great not only with black work trousers but with jeans too. The style of the shoe means they look good with a boot cut or a skinny trouser also, but with their leather woven style they're also great with summer dresses, especially tea dresses where you can match up with a woven leather belt. They're so versatile!
I paid £29.99 in the sale for these shoes down from the marked RRP of £49.99 so they were a total bargain too because I've had them probably 18 months now and they're still good as new apart from some worn colour on the inside of the sole which no-one sees anyway when you have them on. I love them and wear them often and I trust Dune to deliver good quality shoes, which they haven't disappointed with on the Morens. If I see them in black I'll be sure to pick them up.
Overall I highly recommend the Dune Morens, even at RRP they're a good quality shoe well worth the money as they are so practical and versatile and they will last you.
Summary: Lovely shoes which I wear a lot
