“ Brand: Ecco / Type: Ankle Boots „
I am a sucker for walking in heels but recently I decided to treat myself and get a new pair of Boots. With winter approaching and a lot of friends' birthdays and christmas do's etc I wanted a nice pair of versatile boots to keep my feet warm and also look really stylish!
These boots are made of 100% leather and have a really soft lining inside and a flexible sole with a PU midsole and what looks to be a wooden type of material around the edge. Saying this they actually have really good grip and I haven't found myself sliding around with the current wet weather we have been having which is a plus! One of the most attractive aspects about these boots is the heel - at 50mm high they give me a little bit of height so I feel as though I am walking in heels but not too high I am teeter tottering about! They are reasonably thick without looking too chunky and so still are a lovely elegant ankle boot.
They are easy to put on with a gold inside zip for ease of pulling them on and off in a quick go. Most amazingly these boots are sooooo comfortable! I have had countless footwear which I can only wear for a few hours before my feet ache but with these, putting them on they were instantly snug and well suited around my foot and (today for example!) I have worn them all day for 8 hours + and my feet weren't dying for me to kick them off when I got home at the end of the day...result!
Size wise, I find Ecco quite big and although I am generally a size 5/EUR 38 in all other branding footwear I ended up getting these boots in size 4/EUR 37 as the 5 was far too big and with the 5 I could wear them with thick socks and they still feel perfect. So for anyone else I generally recommend going down a size! They also come in a dark brown and in black but I got the Tan colour as it generally goes more with my wardrobe colour scheme and is less harsh a colour compared to the other variations.
These cost £130 which I think is pretty reasonable for elegant and comfortable leather boots these days. I have had ecco shoes in the past and had pairs for 4 years + so I know they are good quality and they are a brand which do comfortable shoes. Saying that they have a 1 year warranty so for me this is good value as I bought boots in Topshop before for about £90 and they didn't last a year! I got mine from the store in Covent Garden, London but they can also be bought online on ecco.com for the same price and free shipping.
