“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Booties „
I love getting new pyjamas and slippers for Christmas and last year was no exception. I received a pair of F&F Curly Faux Fur Bootie Slippers from Tesco. The slipper boots ( I prefer that name to bootie!) come to approximately half way up my calf and are covered with pale pink curly faux fur, this is really pretty and looks almost like little rose shapes in the fur. The inside of the boot is lined in the same fur all up the leg and the foot is lined with a pale pink very soft fleecy material. The sole has a slightly rough feel to it and is made from a rubber type material. The boots have a zip going up the front of them measuring approximately 6 inches, attached to the zip is a piece of pink ribbon tied in a bow and has 2 furry pom poms attached to it. These give the slipper boots a real cute girly look. The zip is functional, not just for decoration and when unzipped the boots can be worn with the leg part folded over making a cuff around the ankle. Personally I do not like wearing the slippers like this, they feel quite bulky and uncomfortable around my ankles. I always wear them zipped up. The boots come in sizes 3-4, 5-6 or 7-8, mine are 5--6, I am a size 6 in shoes and these fit me perfectly, the sizes are quite generous. Being F&F they are only available in Tesco or online at Tesco Direct where they are currently on sale for £10.00. I was really pleased with my slipper boots when I received them, they look cute and are a lovely colour, I wear them all the time when I'm at home, trousers or pyjamas can be worn over the boots or if you prefer tucked into them. The boots are warm soft and cosy and very comfortable to walk in, there are no nasty seams inside the boot so if you prefer wearing them without socks there's nothing to rub, the sole has quite a spongy feel to it, however there is a down side. As I mentioned I received these for Christmas and have worn them everyday since but to be honest I do feel the soles are a little bit slippery and care should be taken when using them on laminate or vinyl flooring. They probably wouldn't be very good for anyone who is a little unsteady on their feet or elderly which is a shame as they are very warm. This aside though I'm pleased with my slipper boots but I do think a different material is needed on the soles.
