Advantages: Look great, casual but on trend for toddlers

Disadvantages: N/A

Tesco have been selling these lace-up sequin canvas shoes for quite a while now, in fact my three year old daughter has worn them in three different sizes so that's how long they have been available for. I have only seen them in two colours, the pink above and a bold purple which my daughter is currently wearing. My mother tells me she has seen them in silver, although I think she may be mixing up her shops as I haven't noticed those and I spend quite a while in the footwear section of Tesco whenever I visit!

As you can see, the shoes are very colour co-ordinated. The sole and toe piece is a crisp white rubber, and the laces and trim are a brighter version of the sequin colour. The purple pair my daughter has at the moment isn't as bright and girly as the pink ones, although personally I think that's a nice change and I'm sure I'll end up buying her the pink ones too at some point so she'll have the best of both worlds!

The sole is thick and very well cushioned. I'm actually extremely impressed by the inside of these shoes, being a canvas shoe (underneath the sequins) you'd imagine they would be rough on the foot but the canvas is lined with a soft chequered material. Whenever I buy children's shoes I always slide my hand inside to make sure there are no rough edges or parts which may hurt their feet, more so for my three year old as basically the big 'uns are old enough to sort their own comfort out!

These feel lovely and soft, the rubber is completely on the outside and is covered by the lining on the inside of the shoe so no sweaty feet here! The back of these shoes feels a bit tough to the touch, and this definitely gives support to your child's feet but I was worried to start with that they would rub Hollie's feet. They don't though, and this is down to the clever little piece of padded fabric inside the back of the shoe which helps cushion the soft skin on my daughter's heels.

I've had no problems with any of the sequins dropping off, they've been well attached on every single pair of these shoes that she has owned. The good thing about them being completely covered in sequins is that these shoes look nice and casual anytime, but can also be worn with more funky clothing if we're going to a party.

So they're comfortable, look great and don't cost a fortune. What more could you want from a pair of kids shoes?

£7 from Tesco stores.

Summary: A brilliant pair of casual girls pumps for just £7
