I bought the walkstar black patent fitflops after reading rave reviews and I must be on another planet because although I have persevered with them my feet are now a mess. Between my toes I have blisters and they are very sore. I have even bought gel inserts to wear between the toes but they haven't worked. I have wasted the money my money on them and I will think twice about buying anything again from reviews.

Fit Flops are marked as the flip flop with the "gym built in". They do not have a curved sole like the MBT, and I am not sure exactly where the gym is built in - however, for comfort these cannot be beaten. The toe post offered no rubbing or discomfort which can often be the case with flip flops, and appears to be made of a soft ... Read the complete review

Fabulous footwear. Within the last 3 weeks I have bought 2 pairs of these. First I bought the Walkster III in white and because they really do work, I have bought the Oasis in Black (due to arrive any day now). My white ones are a size 5 and I am normally a 5. I'd read reviews about going up/down a size but didn't find this necessary. My mum ... Read the complete review

Now, considering I work in marketing, you'd think maybe I'd be wise to marketing people's evil ways of making people part with their money, and so have some kind of immunity to falling for hype. Alas, this is not the case. I seem to fall for a big hype-up even more than ever - and I've always been a bit of a bandwagon-jumper when it comes to ... Read the complete review

Bought a pair in June of this year and wish I hadn't. I have never suffered problems with my feet until now. My right foot is knackered and I can barely walk. This has nothing to do with blisters as the fitflops don't rub. However, I think they don't allow for a natural foot movement.

I bought a pair of Fit-flops, Oasis style, in beige suede, a couple of months ago. When I first put them on, they were a snug fit, incredibly comfortable, and I walked round sightseeing all day in them whilst on holiday. However, they have gradually stretched and become more and more sloppy - they still look as new, but slip off my feet when I ... Read the complete review

I had read about fitflops in a couple of magazines and quite frankly I was somewhat suspect - how could flip flops- which at that time I saw was all they were, cost from £36 - £45 a pair? I mean just lately one women's magazine had given a pair away for nothing- that seemed a better deal to me. Then one day last week, I went by a local ... Read the complete review

I decided to give fitflops a try as I was looking for something to build the muscles in my legs and thought they'd be easy to incorporate into my daily routine as I walk the dog for about an hour every day. Price and availability There are a few online shops that stock them but I found both the range and prices varied enormously ... Read the complete review

FitFlops, here we go again Im going to start raving and babbling on. I have terrible muscle pain most of the time, if I sleep in say till 10 am on the weekend, I cant walk when I do get up, lots of early mornings for me then! Alot of my pain is in my back and I see a fabulous Osteopath at least once a month but I still ... Read the complete review

Eurgh summer time is here and the manky feet are out! Seriously some of the sights I have seen this week traveling to and from work have made me want to puke. What I don't understand is why people wear open toe shoes/Flip Flops when they have feet which resemble the trotters of pigs... surely a friend or relative would be kind enough to tell them ... I bought my Dass Fitflops off an Ebay seller about six weeks ago, and they're about the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn. Not sure about the muscle-toning claims; I felt no aches and pains to start with, although they took a bit of getting used to, being very springy and rocking your foot forward. My wife found my initial bounding gait very amusing, and analogy was made with Tigger. ;-)
They fit very well, seem well made, took no breaking in, and are very stable and comfortable to walk in over widely different terrain, with no hint of slipping off when you go uphill or clamber over rocks. (Ever had to curl your toes to keep sandals on?)
So, in summary, very pleased with them, but not sure about the toning. Perhaps my buttocks are already tight...

I'm pretty much always on a quest to keep fit and to keep in shape but it's not always easy with the demands of a young family. I even have my own treadmill at home as I have found it virtually impossible to get to the gym on a regular basis. There are some days though when I simply don't have the time to take a significant run which is why, when ... Read the complete review

Im on my second pair of fitflops. My second summer. To be honest if they did exctly what it said on the tin then I wouldnt need a second pair, would I? FitFlops are Flipflops that alledgedly give you a gym workout as you walk. How does this work? Well, the toe section, for starters, is made firmer than usual shoes ... Read the complete review

I have just bought my second pair of FiFlops. I bought the first pair a year ago in trepidation, because I have very difficult feet - get blisters really easily and have a very painful big toe (arthritis, I presume). These shoes are wonderful!! I haven't noticed huge amounts of toning in legs and bum, although my legs feel good, but they are the only shoes I can walk in for miles without my big toe feeling like it might drop off. Whatever is in these shoes, it seems almost like a shock absorber. Brilliant.

Last year one of my mates bought a pair of fitflops. I had never heard of them before. She claimed that they gave her legs a work out. As usual with anything like this i was very pessimistic. However, when the warm weather started arriving I looked at my summer shoe collection... not much there really that I would be comforable on my ... Read the complete review

If you are thinking of buying fitflops, don't make the mistake I made by buying them online without first trying them out in a shop after a proper fitting. While they seem to be immensely comfortable to some, they are agony to others - including me. I bought the shoes because of the claims for reduced muscle strain, as I normally walk about ... Flip flops that help improve mucle tone, reduce back pain, reduce cellulite and burn fat, can it be true??!! Fit-flops are amazing and the most comfortable thing ever! Ahead of my trip to Florida in the summer, I did a bit of browsing online to see what items I wanted to buy in the US, and where I should get them. I wanted to make the most of the cheap exchange rate at the time so did lots of 'window shopping' in advance online. Following this, top of my 'must buy' list were a pair of Fit Flop shoes, which I had ... Read the complete review

I bought my pink Fitflop Walkstar a little over 5 months ago and they've been almost glued to my feet ever since. I walk and stand in them almost all day but my feet never get sore at all although I needed to get used to it the 1st 2 days. The heel cushion is firm but cushy enough and gives extra spring with each step.I haven't found any that can beat my FitFlops, not even my Birkenstock.I can walk faster in them.
The downside is FitFlops look bulky and a rather too funky for my dresses, but comfort wins. The soles get compressed after several months of heavy duty use, unlike Birkenstock that gets comfier overtime.
The claim may have its truth but I'm not concerned about it too much. The comfort has won me over first.
