George Ballerina Style Shoe
I like to wear little ballet style pumps with black trousers. They look smart and classy but are comfortable and easy to walk in too. I wear ballet pumps out quite quickly as I tend to live in them and flip flops during the summer so I popped into George at Asda one weekend after my last pair and worn out to the point where they were just no longer suitable for going out.
I was really pleased to come across a pair of ballet pumps in black for the nice sum of £6. I thought this was a great price and although not quite as cheap as Primark it was definately cheap enough for me not to turn my nose up! I was also pleased to see that Asda George is very generous in its ladies shoe sizes. I am a size 8 in a shoe and Asda shoes start from a size 3 all the way up to a size 9 which I think is very good.
The ballet pumps are a matt black and made of a synthetic leather. They are not realy leather but what can you expect for £6?! They have a round stitch running around the trim to give the pumps a little on the design front. It stops them from looking really plain and it is a nice little touch to them.
The pumps have a rounded toe and are completely flat. The inside of the of the pumps is made from a shiny gold material though the picture DooYoo has shows the inside as black. The shoes are are good fit too - they are quite wide so would be ideal for woman who need a wider fit though I must stress they are not advertised as being a wider fit.
These pumps feel lovely when they are on. They are comfortable and very easy to walk in. My feet felt cushioned inside the pumps and my feet didn't fele the blows from the floor as I walked. I wore them a fair bit during the summer and found that my feet didn't ache or feel uncomfortable at all.
These pumps do make your feet a little hot though on the very hot summer days (not that we saw many of those this summer!) so I wouldn't advise wearing them when it is boiling hot out as your feet just end up feeling sticky and hot which ultimately leaves you feeling uncomfortable.
My only issue with these shoes is that I did have to wear them in a little bit as they were quite tight despite being a size 8. It left me thinking that I probably should have purchased a size 9 but after a few wears, they moulded pretty well to the shape of my feet. I would probably recommend trying the size up from your usual size.
These pumps go with any piece of clothing - whether it be to dress up some jeans, trousers or even a skirt. They go with absolutely anything and that is what you want with a pair of shoes I think.
I have been more than impressed with the quality of these shoes and I despite wearing them during the summer fairly often, they aren't showing too many signs of consistant wear and I do think they will be fairly long lasting. Highly recommended.
