George Basic Flip Flops
Advantages: Nice price
Disadvantages: Not great in the comfort stakes
I have these flip flops in lime green for knocking about in. When I say that, I mean they are not my best shoes and ones that I am rarely seen out in beyond the house and garden.
Purchase decision and price
You may wonder why I purchased a pair of flip flops I wouldn't be seen dead in? They were reduced to a pound that's why. But when you consider they were only £2 to start off with at RRP it's not that much of a bargain is it?!
I love wearing flip flops and find most are comfortable on my big feet. These are all made of plastic and are fairly basic with no bells, whistles or sequins. They are OK comfort wise when in the house but I wouldn't attempt a long walk in them like I can in my other numerous pairs of flip flops.
Why I like them
I like flip flops as they are comfy and easy to slide on to your feet in a hurry. Being pregnant, I am not into complicated or tight shoes and prefer to wear something on my feet to protect the soles when in the house and garden. These flip flops are a bit of a garish colour but they are bright and happy and I can wear them for hours round the house when doing chores and relaxing too.
Why I don't like them
As far as flip flops go, these are a bit too basic and not comfy for long walks. I can't complain for the price but would rather pay a little more for something I can go the extra mile in.
The flip flops are only available in three sizes; small, medium and large; which is a bit limiting and I have big feet so am right on the borderline of large.
I just chucked a pair of these in the trolley at ASDA because I thought they were a good price. I didn't think much about it, nor did I particularly need a pair of lime green flip flops! I have cork soled ones that were not much more money but are far more comfy to wear for walking in and for long periods of time.
These are worth a pound or two but I would probably take them on holiday and leave them there so I am obviously not that bothered about them. I have also worn these in the wet grass around a paddling pool and they dried out nicely and were not damaged from the water at all. I do like my flip flops to look pretty so in the future I will try not to be swayed by price and will opt for something a bit more fancy with at least a bit of glitter detail!
Summary: An ok shoe but nicer ones out there!
