      Kinky boots!

I bought these ankle boots in Asda over the summer as they were a bargain, I had a George voucher anyway so they ended up costing just £2.99! They're gorgeous looking boots which I've worn several times now, unfortunately the heel is getting a bit too high so I think they'll be going away until I've had the baby now. Shame as the colour and style would make them ideal for wearing over the Crimbo period!

Usually I'm not keen on boots which have a peeptoe, the open toe just never looks right to me with the high boot style. These have been fashioned well however and the overall design is very appealling, with the narrow peeptoe adding a bit of interest to the front of the boot.

They are made of a suede type synthetic material which feels smooth and velvety to the touch. The lining is cotton with the sole beneath the ball of the foot being covered in the same suede material. The sole isn't very well cushioned and after a while of standing in the boots the bottoms of your feet might start aching a bit. The heel isn't overly high though so this shouldn't be too much of a problem if you're used to walking in this type of shoe.

The heel is about 3 inches but it's quite chunky where it joins the sole of the boot so it doesn't feel too high. I actually think these are very comfortable to walk in as far as the heel height goes, the bottom of the boot itself is very well shaped for my foot and that helps with the comfort.

The boots zip up on the inside, I'm not sure why actually as the leg hole of the boot is very wide so I always just pull the boots on and off as normal without bothering with the zip. The top of the boot is almost too wide, I would prefer a more snug fitting boot so I can wear them with a wider variety of jeans or trousers, but then you'd lose the shape of the bow design at the side of the boot so maybe Asda have got it right after all.

The sizing is slightly off, the size 4 boots I bought were quite comfortable but I ended up taking them back and exchanging them for a size 5. This isn't unheard of as I'm one of those people who can happily fit into two sizes of shoe (a 4 and a 5) but really in boots I go for a size 4, but they did pinch a bit in this style.

£14.99 from Asda, might be cheaper now as the weather means boots with holes in the toe isn't very practical!
