      Advantages

      Disadvantages

These are nice sandals but not very durable

      DESIGN

These are Gladiator sandals for little girls.  They are made of a pink mock suede and feature a strappy front and large cuff around the ankle, they are available up to a child size 2 and that is the size I bought for my daughter.  The sole is very thin and although this is usual for the style I think it should have been built up better on Gladiator sandals for children to provide extra comfort. There is a zip running up the back of the sandal so you can take them on and off easily.

      COMFORT

These are comfortable while my daughter is wearing them but the thin sole means she complains that her feet are aching when we are walking for longer distances. The cuff does not support her ankle because it is very loose fitting and the straps across the front of her feet do not provide support either. She said the back of the cuff made her skin itchy and I remember when I looked once it had made the area a bit red and blotchy.

      DURABILITY

These sandals were bought for our holiday to Antigua and were good as beach shoes in the soft sand. The sole scuffed quite badly as soon as we were walking on the hard pavement and the sandals did not last much longer than our holiday, I think it was probably the effects of the sand but the bottom portion of the cuff went shiny and lost the fuzzy suede feeling.  One of the zips also became very loose after a week and then my daughter could not do it up herself because of the extra pressure needed to keep it in place.

      WHAT I THINK

I like these sandals and thought they looked smart and on trend when my daughter was wearing them. They cost £9 so I wanted them to last for longer than they did and I hoped she would get some wear out of them when we came home.  The suede felt a bit cheap and even by sight you wouldn't think it was the real thing.

      WHAT MY DAUGHTER THINKS

My daughter liked them but she used to get herself in a bit of a mess when pitting them on because her feet slip through the gap created by the straps and she gets frustrated by that.  The sole would be better if it was a bit thicker or had a cushioned insole because the lack of support and hard sole meant she often had sore feet when we had been walking.  She likes the colour because like all little girls she likes wearing pink shoes and the shade of these is very pretty and feminine.

      Asda sandals

Before going on holiday a few weeks ago, Little Miss liked these sandals and when she tried then on they were a good fit, so we bought them.

The sandals cost £8 and seemed good quality. They are available from Infant size 10 to size 2 although there are no half sizes.

They are a suede type material and are a deep pink colour. The sandals are open toed with two plain and one plaited strap across the toes. They have a thick cuff with plaited straps across the cuff and with a zip fastening up the back of the sandals.

When Little Miss first tried on the sandals she said that they were comfortable and they did seem to be nice and wide and although the cuff is high it wasn't nipping at her ankles. However, previous experience has shown me that we often buy shoes which she then won't wear. The proof was going to be in the wearing of them while we were on holiday!

Because they are a suede type of material I did think that the sandals would very quickly look used and dirty. However, Little Miss wore these many times to the pool and even though they obviously got some water on them, they continued to look clean and relatively new.

They were also worn at night and even when we returned home from our holiday and they continue to look if not brand new, at least not scuffed and dirty.

They have been pronounced as very comfortable and have been worn with jeans, leggings and dresses, so they are suitable for lots of types of clothes.

The sole is flat and therefore quite slippy, so they were probably not the best things to wear by the pool, although thankfully no accidents!

      VERDICT...

These shoes lasted a fortnight holiday and beyond and are still going strong. Even after being close to the pool and therefore having had water on them they show no signs of water damage or staining. When we were away it was also very hot and unlike some shoes I have taken on holiday, the glue or whatever holds them together didn't melt and so they came home intact.

They look good with different outfits including dresses, jeans and leggings.

For the price, this is a really good pair of sandals- recommended

      Thanks for reading
