Advantages: Look nice, cheap
Disadvantages: Thin soles! Lack of support around the ankles
These are the average ballerina style pumps that have been in fashion for the past couple of years and are almost indentical to newlook and topshop pumps. For anyone who isn't aware of what a 'pump' is, it's essentially a completely flat soled, open shoe with a rounded toe. This particular shoe is black, with gorgeous lace detailing and a bow on the toe, boosting up the femininty and cuteness. The inside of the shoe is also black with a small golden number inside a circle which states the size. These are ideal for casual wear, but also work and/or college wear due to the simple design and simple colouring. They go well with tights and a smart skirt, but don't look out of place with jeans either - very versatile. Age wise i'd say they look best on teenagers, younger women and middle aged women. I doubt older women would want to wear them, but if they did i wouldn't reccomend it due to the shoes lack of support.
Not the comfiest shoes. The sole's thin, allowing the foot to take full impact of stones and rubble when walking on paths or grass; very uncomfortable! They do however stretch with wider feet allowing plenty of room and no discomfort, but it does leave them out of shape. Walking in them is ok in short distances and i can easily walk around town for an hour or so window shopping as they're soft and easy to slip on, but if hiking in them i think there'd be slight difficulty as they're flimsy and simply designed for gentle use in my opinion.
As these shoes were so cheap, i honestly expected the lace detailing to pull apart after a few days. I've had my pair for around the 6 month mark and although slightly fraying, the lace still looks great. Walking in snow and rain in these is out of the question, as for one they add no warmth to the feet and two, they don't support the feet well nor have good grip. I'd never dream of getting them muddy either (dirt shows up prominantly as the shoe is so dark), as i feel they're too fragile to be washed, unless ofcourse i had the time to handwash them.
The best thing about these shoes is the price! They're a bargain at £6 a pair and are very trendy. Reccomended to anyone on a budget that needs some simple shoes to get some wear out of; mine have lasted well but i would only reccomend for general use - stick to trainers for jogging etc.
