      Great boots from George

With the arrival of Winter I realised that my three year old daughter was seriously in need of some new clothes and footwear. I headed to my nearby Asda as they have a large George there which I love, I am never disappointed by the range of kids clothes and footwear that they stock and have always found them to be of a good quality at a low price. Since I was planning to buy my daughter some boots I took her with me to the supermarket. I find picking up the right size clothing pretty easy but footwear really needs to be tried on. We arrived around lunchtime and headed straight  to the childrens clothes. The store was fairly busy and as there was no seating by the shoes my daughter had to sit on the cold floor which was a bit of a pain. As always George had a wide variety of girls shoes and my daughter had a good look before she chose a few she would like to try on. The first ones she tried on were these Patent quilted boots, which I am reviewing today. The boots are only available in navy blue, they are a lovely bold colour. Although, I would have liked to have seen a range of different colours (eg black), I think my daughter was actually drawn to these because of their blue colour. The fronts, heels and top are made from a shiny blue plastic, whilst the rest of the boots have a quilted design. There is a heart buckle design on the outside of the boots which is a really nice added detail. A zip runs down the inside of each boot, this has been proven to be strong and durable. We have had no experience of the zip getting stuck, and my daughter has no problems using the zip. The large zip makes getting the shoes on and off very easy, quick and fuss free. Inside the boots are covered in blue material with a leopard print design around the top,  this adds a funky look to them. My daughter finds these comfortable, although there is little padding so on colder days an extra pair of socks may be appropriate. The soles are fairly thick, they have proven to be quite durable, the bottoms also have grips. My daughter has been wearing these boots for around a month now and we are both really pleased with them. We have been caught in the rain a few times whilst my daughter has been wearing them and on these occasions they have kept my daughters feet dry. She has been wearing these most days to nursery and I have had no complaints from her that they have felt uncomfortable. There are a few minor scratches to the patent material at the front but this Is something I would expect from any childrens boots. The George website states that these shoes are made from textiles and other materials. They are available in the Infant sizes 4 to 12. Georges Navy Quilted boots are priced at £12.50 and are available in most stores and on their website. Online delivery charges apply from £2.95 for standard delivery. A free click and collect service is also available. Items can be returned for a full refund up to 28 days after the item was purchased (proof of purchase needed).  I have no problems recommending these girls boots, they are of a high quality and at a good price. My daughter finds them very comfortable and they look great too.
