A lovely pair of Disney Princesses slippers for your own little princess!

While looking for a pair of slippers for my three year old I came across this Snow White design in Asda, I've never been too struck on the George range of kids' shoes and slippers and think they are generally overpriced so was happy to see them 'cuting' up their image just lately.

These slippers are a mule style, although they have an elasticated strip for the back of the foot. This is important as putting young children in true backless slippers can be dangerous, especially when they are moving up and down the stairs.

They are made of a fluffy material which is lovely and cosy during these cold days and dark winter nights. The colour of them is gorgeous, they are actually a more blue/green colour in real life than the dullish grey they appear in the photograph above. The insole has a less fluffy feel, but it is sill decidedly furry which I think makes the slippers extremely comfortable for Hollie to walk around in. She does complain sometimes that they make her feet too hot so I'd recommend bare feet for them, rather than forcing your little one to wear socks and fluffy slippers at the same time!

The sole itself is excellent for young children. In keeping with the style of the slippers it has a soft sole, but this is inlaid with small rubberised grips which are surprisingly effective at preventing my daughter from slip-sliding around the house.

The front of each slipper is embellished with a large shiny picture of Snow White, framed by a strand of faux feather. This emphasises how feminine the slippers are and also gives them a glamorous appearance, bringing them in line with other Disney Princess products. And a girl can never have too much glamour, even at just three years old!

The slippers hold my daughters feet well, the back strap is not adjustable so I suggest you try a pair on before buying them as it's not particularly stretchy either. Having said that, providing you have bought your child the correct size in the first place you shouldn't have any problems with getting the strap to fit as it is designed to sit in line with the actual back of the slipper. Hollie is currently a half size and as these slippers do come a little small I bought the next size up which fit her perfectly with no pinching at the back and plenty of room for her toes to move.

She looks very comfortable in the slippers and will actually choose to wear these without me constantly having to nag her to put her slippers on, unlike a recent pair I bought with a full back which she seemed to find very uncomfortable to walk in.

      £5 from Asda.
