“ Brand: Adi / Type: Pumps „
I bought these gorgeous zebra design heels back in February for a party, they were bought online so I was a bit nervous of paying so much for them because they looked like they'd because they looked fab for the party but a bit daring to be wearing on an everyday basis. When they came though I was happily surprised, the shoes aren't at all tarty looking as they seem in the piccie and are actually much more down to earth than they appear. They have a smart appearance, but this is lightened by the gorgeous zebra print which gives them a fun and bang on trend look. The stripes are well proportioned so that the main area of the shoe is white, this is excellent as I've had other zebra shoes which have been far too dark due to the black stripes being thicker than they need to be. The shoes have a silky, satin feel which is a nightmare to clean (being white too) but does give them a very attractive shine on a night out. If you're planning on buying a pair of these shoes I recommend you also buy a decent shoe cleaning kit as the first patch of mud you step in will show you just how hard this material is to clean! I have the same shoes in the leopard design and definitely don't show the dirt up as much! The only thing I'm not over the moon about with the shoes is the fact that the peep toe is much wider than I would have expected from the style of the shoe. I like a small peeptoe to reveal just the edge of my big toe and the ends of the next couple, but with these you can actually see whole toes and that always makes me feel a bit weird when I wear them! The heel height is roughly 3 1/2 ins and they feature quite a thin stiletto heel, it's well attached to the shoe and thank god for that because it does feel like the kind of slim heel which could snap if there was any give at all. I think these Adi heels (how they can call a high heel like this a pump I don't know?!) are very comfortable to walk in, much more than I thought they would be. The back of the shoe is of a high quality which means these have caused no rubbing even from brand new. The sole is padded and the base of the shoe is shaped nicely to allow my instep to retain its natural shape. I'd have liked the front of the shoe to have had a small wedge to bring the style up to date, I do think raising the shoe at the front would make them even more interested and would also give a nice cushioning to the otherwise quite hard toe area. That's one area which can get a bit uncomfortable if you're on your feet for a long time as the padding on the sole doesn't reach all the way to the edge of the toe. The sizing is spot on so don't be afraid to buy online and take advantage of special offers. They come in half sizes which is useful, I ordered a half size myself and these have actually turned out to be one of the best fitting shoes I own. They are a manmade fabric and keep their shape well, I've worn mine plenty of times (when I can be bothered to clean them) and they still look great. These shoes go well with plenty of different styles of clothing too, more than you'd think by looking at them actually. To the party I wore mine with a little black dress and they worked well as an accessory, adding a bit of fun to my outfit and giving me plenty of scope for adding jewellery and other touches. I've also worn them with skinny jeans and they look so good like this, the shoe definitely lengthens and slims the leg and is much more chic than adding a pair of pumps or boring heeled boots worn over your jeans. So old hat now! £28.77 from overstock.com.
